Staying at the Cristalino Lodge feels like truly immersing yourself in the Amazon rainforest. Although luxurious for a jungle lodge, the lodge is eco friendly and sustainable. Food ingredients are grown organically within the premises, and solar power generators are used to power lighting and hot water throughout the lodge.
We stayed in a superior room, which was spacious, clean and luxurious, providing a comfortable place to relax between the activities of the day. The activities were varied and provided a thorough insight into the Amazon. They included birdwatching from 50m observation towers at sunrise/sunset, hiking through the forest and kayaking.
Through the activities we saw: Caiman, bats, lots of avian species, monkeys, peccaries, capybara, tapir, snakes, tarantula, and more...
The food was nourishing and fresh. The staff were very friendly, and dedicated to providing an enjoyable stay. A special thank you to Marcio who replenished us with fresh juices daily! And our very knowledgeable guide Braulio!!!
We also considered the Anavilhanas lodge near Manaus but are glad we opted for Cristalino! Due to Cristalino being located within kilometres of privately owned land, we did not encounter many people at all! This made the experience all the more immersive.
