From the route in by road and river, arriving at the welcoming dock, Cristilano Lodge is
a great stay. Wonderful food, variety of trails to explore, from lodge or by boat. Great bird watching all around and from 2 towers on property.
River great for swimming or kayaking. Wildlife abounds. Staff accommodating to all guest needs. Comfortable library for relaxing , internetting or reading. Great deck areas for sitting daytime or by evening fire. During my stay, musicians played several nights. Luxury in the jungle.

Room Tip: Some cabins more remote and private , though longer walk from lodge - may be issue in dark for some.

My husband and I stayed at Cristalino Lodge for four nights, and the experience was simply amazing. The lodge is situated in the Southern Amazon on privately owned land and combines an excellent experience in nature with luxury accommodations. We stayed in a Superior Room, which was absolutely perfect.

We were paired with our guide, Gilmar, for the entire trip, and we were the only people in his group. Each day had a morning and late afternoon activity that included climbing two observation towers, several hikes, kayaking, and swimming. We saw many animals during our visit including alligators, monkeys, toucans, macaws, and numerous other birds. Unfortunately, we weren't able to see some of the larger species such as peccary, cobra, or tapir, but nature had its own plan I guess. My husband and I recently moved to São Paulo, and we are learning Portuguese. Gilmar did a fantastic job of mixing Portuguese and English so we understood but also built our Portuguese knowledge.

The food was exceptional and healthy. Each meal had a good variety for any taste, and it left us always wanting to taste a little of everything.

I feel this was one of the most unique vacations of our lifetime. The luxury jungle accomodations come with a high price tag. Yet, I will cherish the days that we spent at Cristalino, and I highly recommend!

Staying at the Cristalino Lodge feels like truly immersing yourself in the Amazon rainforest. Although luxurious for a jungle lodge, the lodge is eco friendly and sustainable. Food ingredients are grown organically within the premises, and solar power generators are used to power lighting and hot water throughout the lodge.

We stayed in a superior room, which was spacious, clean and luxurious, providing a comfortable place to relax between the activities of the day. The activities were varied and provided a thorough insight into the Amazon. They included birdwatching from 50m observation towers at sunrise/sunset, hiking through the forest and kayaking.

Through the activities we saw: Caiman, bats, lots of avian species, monkeys, peccaries, capybara, tapir, snakes, tarantula, and more...

The food was nourishing and fresh. The staff were very friendly, and dedicated to providing an enjoyable stay. A special thank you to Marcio who replenished us with fresh juices daily! And our very knowledgeable guide Braulio!!!

We also considered the Anavilhanas lodge near Manaus but are glad we opted for Cristalino! Due to Cristalino being located within kilometres of privately owned land, we did not encounter many people at all! This made the experience all the more immersive.

Room Tip: Choose the superior room - its worth the extra cost when you're in the jungle!

When my father in law offered this trip for me and my wife, I wouldn't imagine how fantastic it would be. Unfortunately It was only 2 nights and a full day, and rained most of the time, but in the 4 hours without rain, I had the most amazing experience of watching 26 different species of birds in a single place. Besides the nature experience, the lodge itself is an experience. The location of the lodge is in the middle of the rainforest jungle. To get there we took a 20 minute ride in a small motor boat and before that a 50 minute transfer from the airport. For those interested in an unique experience in the life of a rainforest, this is the place. Accommodations are amazing and the food menu was developed by a Chef, who was preoccupied in using only local ingredients. Amazing food. Prices are high, but well worth it. I'm already making plans to return this Spring (south hemisphere).

And yes, Cristalino offers a delicious self-service buffet which prizes local organic ingredients.
