The pictures very accurately reflect the experience. The interior is simple but pretty and practical. We spent most of our time outdoors sitting on the shady terrace, watching the beers and butterflies in the enormous lavender bushes. The trulli is surrounded by olive groves and cherry orchards and the only sounds you will hear are the barking dogs in the distant farms and the occasional farmer passing by on his tractor. There are plenty of towns to visit nearby or you may simply succumb to the understated charm of this place.
It is a wonderful place. Just take a look at the pictures and you may imagine how beautiful and peaceful this place is. Paolo is very helpful and welcoming.
A car is needed to stay here because it is out in the countryside; a beautiful, relaxing change from the hustle and bustle. Be prepared to bring toiletries, water and foodstuffs. There is a mini-market down the road with plenty to fill the bill- a woman who speaks English is there to help if you need that. The weekend we were there was the Red Bull cliff-diving event, so one of the restaurants we wanted was not available and there were crowds, but this rental helped to make our trip to Apulia the highlight of our Italian adventure.
A great little gem of a place with everything you need for a smashing stay. The property was very clean and bedding and towels were clean and fresh
The trulli has been sympathetically restored to keep the original as a living area, and a modern extension that includes the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom, it all works well
The trulli sits in I guess 2 acres of land surrounded by olive groves. The nearest other property is 1/4 a mile away but with the gated drive and security system you feel very safe.
The nearest shop is a mile away . Yes you need a car. I don't think you could get around otherwise.
We had a lovely time and hope to return
