Kate made us very welcome and the gifts of bread, wine etc were excellent! A perfect cottage in an beautiful setting for a relaxing break. We stayed in all weekend and totally relaxed.. the sound of the river and birds outside the back window were lovely to hear.. even the rain was nice! Couldn't wish for better surroundings.. Thank you!

“Superb describes the whole experience.”
Reviewed 18 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

I rented the cottage for my partner and myself for our first valentine weekend.
Right from the first contact Kate, the owner, not an agent was polite, friendly, efficient and really helpful.
She was there waiting to meet us with a smile, a welcome gift of fresh local bread, butter, jam and a bottle, a nice welcome touch.
She ran through all details of the cottage, local area, things to see etc and said any questions or problems she was close by a phone call away.

There has great care, love and attention to detail been put into the cottage, it is as nice as it looks in the picture and a true lovers retreat. Pretty much everything you need or can think off and a few you forgot has been provided for you, private parking, all kitchen utensils, towels, linen, bath robes, tv/dvd, wifi, logs etc. But it is the nice subtle things which registered with us, the heart shape coat hooks, ice cube tray, dishes etc, someone has created this cottage with love and thought, it shows.

I cannot fault the place in any way, the location, facilities, welcome and value for money cannot be beaten anywhere.

Will I recommend it to others, yes have done already.

Will I go back again, yes love too, probably book Valentine’s next year if not before.

“The cosiest cottage - ever!”
Reviewed 3 February 2015 for a stay in September 2014

We stayed for two nights while visiting friends and celebrating my partners birthday.

Kate, the owner, is a lovely lady and nothing is too much trouble. She knew it was a birthday weekend and left us yummy goodies.

The cottage is perfectly appointed with all of the kitchen equipment needed and more importantly - an open fire!

The bed is comfortable and the linen is soft and fresh.

It overlooks the river where we saw lots of ducks and a fleeting kingfisher.

We are returning in 2015.
