From the best china to the craic, this is the place to go. Homemade soup and pulled pork bap went down a treat. Will definitely be back.

Having looked for lunch in Castledawson, we moved onto Moneymore and came to the Vintage Tea Room. The owners are brilliant, know food and know real hospitality.

You will not have a better friendlier and filling lunch in the UK.

If you are planning a tour of the area, The Vintage Tea Room in the very centre of Northern Ireland is a must do.

The friendly staff provided lovely cream scones and cake - and recipe for making soda bread.

Lots of local knowledge and a beautiful quilt wall hanging.

Had lunch at these atmospheric Tea Rooms today April 14th. The lady proprietor- cum -waiter was full of the joys of spring (excuse the pun as it is spring!!) and suggested a range of meaty rolls & sandwiches & choice of three soups, Carrot & Lentil ,Broccoli,& Tomato & Basil. My wife, a fan of home made soup, was very impressed as normally in café type establishments the choice is vegetable ,vegetable or vegetable!. We both chose Carrot & Lentil which was served by co- proprietor & chef, Trevor, in massive old & beautiful antique soup plates. The soup which passed my wife's comparison with her own home made version of the same two ingredients, really was delicious. With my soup I requested a non- meat salad filled floury bap,(this being Good Friday- no meat allowed). This duly arrived filling a medium sized antique dinner plate loaded with all manner of greens, reds, yellows & more. A great find, based in the old Manor House which you cannot miss if driving through Moneymore .The building has had many renaissances over the years but this one would seem to have a happy future.

We arrived as I discovered this online and I am always on the hunt for a cute tea room and yummy cake.

This was a lovely, family- run cafe with good portions, prices and atmosphere. The staff are absolutely amazing, chatty and ready to help. They were very friendly and we felt welcomed.
I enjoyed my food and they have unlimited tea refills.

It is not too big, so perhaps try to rig beforehand on a Friday incase it is busy, but it also offers an affordable afternoon tea and I will certainly want to return.
