Great attraction that takes you back in time to the early 1800s. This historic home and gardens is lovingly cared for, and shown by, volunteers in the community. The home stokes the imagination and makes you pause to imagine.

We visited the house twice: once for a visit of the house per se and once to hear a community concert by a local artist. As a 'museum', we really enjoyed looking around and reading the historical information. The house also hosts local artist's work and we learned that Dr. Miyazaki left the home with the intention that this be a strong community hub.
The person working there that day was incredibly enthusiastic and knew the community very well and was able to answer our questions.
We then visited in the evening that same week to hear a local singer. We had a lot of fun as he engaged us in an evening of singing. It was a great atmosphere!

A very interesting place and story of the house. Lots of neat articles throughout the house. Lovely grounds with flowers and stone work.
Entry by donation.

Nicely restored/maintained historic house in downtown Lillooet. Excellent compository of historical information regarding the house, its occupants and the history of the area. Lots of dated photos, with good narrative. A nice dispaly of life in a house of the early times. The house was open, no attendant available and a wedding photo shoot was underway in the back yard. There was no opportunity to offer a donation or discuss the venue.
