We had just left the lighthouse and were famished. We spoted a sign stating fresh lobsters for sale and saw a lot of commotion around a collection of sheds. We decided to drive in and found people leaving and telling us we had come to the right place for lobster. We picked our dinner and sat and visited with the great staff until dinner was done. No ceremony here....cracked lobster on paper plate, hot butter and a roll of paper towels. This was the best tasting lobster I have ever had!

This is where you ate the two fresh lobsters on the picnic tables at Peggy's cove...I told you I'd find it !! I even googled the map
Buy your lobster to go

at Ryer and Ryer Lobster Pound in Indian Harbour

- cooked or uncooked. They even have picnic tables available so you can eat it there.
While visiting Nova Scotia you can enjoy the experience of freshly cooked lobster. RYER & RYER LOBSTER LTD. was established in 1971. They are located at 8494 Peggy’s Cove Road. Approximately 2km (1.5 miles) from Peggy’s Cove in Indian Harbour right on the shore of St. Margaret’s Bay. . Open daily from 10:00 am to 5:00pm.

You walk up to the counter, order you lobster, they steam it, and you eat it on their picnic tables while looking out on the ocean and boat that was used to check the traps which caught your meal. You can't find fresher lobster anywhere, hey it is a lobster pond, the lobsters are great, and delicious. They will ship for you. I like the price, freshness, and atmosphere of a good lobster pond like this one.

If you are visiting Peggy's Cove in Nova Scotia, you MUST stop here if you are a lobster lover! All you get is lobster and melted butter but OMG is it worth it. It is only 1.5 miles from Peggy's Cove on the shore of St. Margaret's Bay.

We picked our lobster, 2.6 lb female, waited 20 mins for it to be cooked.
Meanwhile ordered half dozen oysters.
It was delish.
9.50 a lb for the cooked lobster.
It was raining, drizzle.
The picnic table was pulled inside the retail area, and we had our lunch there after visitng peggy's cove and on our way to lunenberg.
