Huge room as we were upgraded due to a booking error. Unfortunately there was a horrible smell in the bathroom in the morning
Good location right in the centre of town. Night market outside. We couldn't find anywhere suitable to eat so got food from the street stalls which was really nice [and very cheap]
Breakfast was cold and inedible as they didn't turn on the heaters under the food to keep it warm

Stayed: January 2016, travelled with friends

Basic and overpriced but clean. Not much else to choose from in this town.
Like most of Myanmar, staff are friendly and helpful, it not professional by western standards.
Room was basic, wifi was weak, tv had a couple of channels, restaurant on roof has nice view, OK buffet breakfast

Room Tip: all noisy but have one away from from street

We just stayed here for one night and picked this hotel because we've seen some good reviews.
But we are backpacking and can't afford one of their better rooms, so we thought standard has to be enough.
The hotel looks really nice when you enter the lobby and that made us stupid enough to just check in without checking the room first.
When they showed us to our room we were a bit surprised to see that it was tiny and only with a single bed inside. No problem they told us. They will put another one next to it. So housekeeping got really busy and brought two mattresses which they used to build our second bed from. Really not nice and way too soft to be comfortable. Unfortunately the bigger bed now left almost no space at all to put our backpacks.
The bathroom was compared to the room itself almost spacious but a bit run down and could have been cleaner.
At least the fridge was spotless, which doesn't happen often enough in Myanmar.
Breakfast was okay but completely cold. I will never understand why they buy proper Rechauds and then not use it to keep the food warm. But again, that seems to be a problem all over Myanmar.
They had some filter coffee which was a bit bitter but still a lot better than the instant one you get at some other places.

Service was not overly friendly but they helped us well enough with getting bus tickets.

The location is really good. Close to the clocktower and right in the middle of the night market, which was really nice.

Even though we didn't have a good experience, you should be fine if you book one of the nicer rooms. My boyfriend asked to see one and said that it looked a lot better than ours.

Another thing that we would like to mention, is that this place is as we see it government owned. We realised that too late as well. We usually try to stay at private places.

Stayed there for 2 nights. The hotel is located in the very central of the city; on the same road with the bus station and surrounded with major banks and market. Staff was very friendly. At night, the street in front of the hotel, turned to night market where you can try every local food when I was there. The room number 108 where I stayed in as at the end of the corridor had very weak wifi signal. Also there was a community clock stroked every hour which can be very annoying at night.

Room Tip: Avoid room 108 at the end of the corridor. Had the community clock stroked every hour

A pretty standard hotel, well located and with a very helpful staff. The thing that gets it four stars for me is the excellent buffet breakfast. More than sufficient choice, always well stocked and always hot.
