“Grt place for hols with kids and for exploring the region.”
Reviewed 2 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

I spent a week with my family - 3 adults and 3 kids at this villa. we had a fab time. the owners have been very thoughtful in how they manage your stay; sending you a pre-programmed sat nav so you can get from the airport and around the area with ease. the welcome pack on arrival was also a nice touch. the villa was well equipped with air con, dishwasher and washing machine. the roof terrace was great in the evenings - great views - but the lower terrace was plagued with wasps. the lemons trees and grape vines provided nice fresh fruit and homemade lemonade. the pool was small, but adequate for a late afternoon dip and on days when we didn't want to go out. we had a problem with the septic tank, but a quick call to Dave the pool guy and it was sorted by the time we returned from our day out. this was a great base for exploring the Puglia region; the grottos di castellanata, Alberobello, Monopoli and Lecce were all within easy striking distance of the villa. the nearby town of Ostuni was also a good place to visit in the evenings to people watch.

“A converted trullo with everything for a great holiday”

Situated close to the beautiful hill town of Ostuni, this traditional house stands in its own large garden of many almond trees. The pool is a bonus when the temperatures soar and also the thick stone trullo walls keep it cool. A very peaceful place, great for relaxation. The house is well equipped and in particular the 'welcome pack' is most appreciated. Although the owners live in England, their agent is readily available in case of need.
With the beaches only a few kilometres distant and many interesting towns and villages around, the house is well placed for touring. Alberobello, the town with hundreds of trulli (traditional conical houses) and Matera, a UNESCO world heritage town where many houses are in fact caves with frontages, are both well worthy of visits.

“Lovely villa close to arguably the most interesting city in Puglia.”
Reviewed 17 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

Villa, a tastefully converted Trulli in grounds with almond and lemon trees, small but adequate pool, had all the attention to detail that could be required to make the ideal base to explore Puglia.
Ostuni is a real gem with restaurants serving food to die for. Interesting entertainment for those prepared to seek it out. Other interesting areas Monoply, Alborobello and the caves at Castellana and there are good beaches close by.
In fact everything to make the perfect holiday
