We have just returned from a 2 week holiday.
First impression was good, we had read the reviews and I have to say it was better than what we thought it would be.
The property is excellent for location one of the best.
They cleaned every 3 days, clean towels and sheets.
Very nice people run this property.
The rooms are basic, I did use the cooker and it worked.
The shower is a typical Greek shower that you have to hold.
If you want to keep the room on its 4 euro an hour
Check out is 12
Better to book another night on line as this would work out cheaper.
Good tip with the toilet situation as you are aware in Greece you have to put in the bin, TAKE NAPPY SACKS
Beach 6 euro a day for umbrella eye and you get waited on if you would like drink or food from local bar
Rovers Return is excellent
Breakfast is good and excellent staff
Spinalonga is a fab trip book with amigo just next door to rovers return
The airport is not good for drinks on return very basic
We would definitely return
We are a married couple who have travelled and stayed in luxury but this was good for price and location

Resort disappointing( Too commercial) . We didn't like 3 English pubs on the small frontage,
but lots of nice tavernas close by. Family( 2 sisters) friendly once you get to
know them. We had clean sheets twice a week the same for the towels.
Don.t go if you want a quiet holiday close to main drag. Pool area good
and close to excellent bus route. We enjoyed a day on the Black Rose a trip to
Sissi a trip to Mikes place up the hill worth a visit. Our Cpt jack Sparrow (from Croydon) was great..
Lots of spiral steps to higher rooms not good for people with walking difficulties.

It is many years since we stayed in a studio being fortunate enough to travel the world and staying in up market all inclusive hotels. Had a chance of a week in the sun and my wife booked Koumaros. When I read the reviews I was worried and first impressions were not favourable. however although the electrics are "worrying" they all worked, yes the place needs a lot of maintenance and TLC but the hotel next door has, or is, making an offer to buy the owners out, so why should they invest greatly. We were there a week, sheets not changed but towels were once, room cleaned once, maybe twice. Did it bother us no; the proprietors were friendly and tried to be helpful, there was a very sociable crowd staying during our week so there was some marvellous gatherings at the bar before people went there separate ways for the evening. It is ideally situated for the lovely beach, a two minute walk, along with the highlights that is Stallis(!) When writing a negative review, authors should remember that you get what you pay for it makes no sense to payt £50 and expect £500 of value. Our week was exactly what we wanted and expected, would I stay at Koumaros again - tough question - yes at a push but would definitely visit Stallis again.

Room Tip: Beware the upstairs rooms, very steep and winding stairsd to get up to them but they do have a balcony which we didn't have.

Been to this hotel before and it is what it is. You get what you pay for. In general this was a nice hotel with nice people running it. Hygiene standards not great. Sheets not changed once in the week when I was there. Good price for what it was. Didn't expect the Ritz. I am in no way slagging this hotel off, just giving a heads up to future holiday makers.
