We stayed here for three nights with some 15 others on a garden tour. Our arrival wasn’t propitious; neither the guide nor the driver could find the hotel and, after driving a circuitous route from our last garden, time was wasted driving up a cul-de-sac. When we arrived, we were given a very small room with a queen bed and a shower, despite booking twin beds and a bath. Fortunately, we were able to be moved to a larger room in an annex with access to a spacious veranda. Although a group of Scots on a car rally were staying, our room was quiet and we slept well.

The hotel’s public rooms are under-furnished and soul-less and the hotel gives the impression of needing TLC. Breakfast was disappointing and served in a windowless room it was difficult to find. Dinner was reasonable, but served in a characterless room. The staff were helpful, but not particularly friendly. In summary, this could be a lovely place to stay, but it needs someone with imagination, taste and a big budget to refurbish, refurnish and reorganise it. Meanwhile, it’s probably best suited to corporate groups, weddings, etc.

Room Tip: Some the rooms are small, so it’s worth specifying a large room if you have a lot of luggage.

Travelling with our norwegian choir, we were 86 people and had the entire hotel to ourselves. Old beautiful fresco paintings on the walls and ceiling and elegant style in the main building. Nice modern rooms in the other two buildings with television, large bed and a bathroom with a nice shower. If you stay in Limonaia, on the ground floor, you can walk right outside to the garden. Various and good breakfast buffet. A small, but nice swimming pool with sunbeds. A fantastic view to Rome from mainbuilding. Shuttlebus to the center of Frascati and from there a train to Rome.

We had an overnight stay here and would definitely recommend it. The building is stunning, with freschi on the ceilings and walls. We were in the opposite dependenza, which appears to offer the best deals. The room was spacious, bathroom and shower good (except for the dreaded shower over bath with curtain!) Yes there is a little mould on the wall at the shower, but that is to be expected really with little ventilation and steam! The air-conditioning was not working, though we were assured that it would be switched on in high season. Breakfast was very good, with a lot more on offer than is normal in a hotel in Italy. We will return!

We were so looking forward to staying here as the pictures make it look spectacular, however, perhaps given the room we were provided or the time of year, we were unable to see any of the same views that we were waiting for. The main building is very beautiful, however, our room was on the floor (-1) of the adjacent building and we heard absolutely EVERYTHING from the room above us. I'm talking, them using the bathroom (each time), moving around, packing, etc. Additionally, even though it said it has wifi, I was unable to connect to it in our room. When I alerted the staff, although very friendly said they would reset the router, we were never able to connect from our phones or my computer- this was very inconvenient since I had a little bit of work to complete. Similarly, our room was not equipped with a safe (which is not what we expected based on the website) and we had to use the safe box located at reception. The older gentleman that supports reception at night/late had a very difficult time figuring out how to open the safe and making us reservations for our shuttle into Frascati. The pool was basically a mud-pit and although it was too cold to swim, it would have been a lovely view from the gardens. Also, our room had ant traps in it and our soap in the shower was broken and they did not provide a bar soap. I think this may have been a great stay if we had come during the high season (although nothing would change in terms of soundproofing) and seems like a wonderful place for bigger events. Fortunately, we were into exploring outside of the hotel and absolutely LOVED Frascati. The hotel shuttle is well timed with the train that is needed to ride into Rome (however, can run late as our 8 am shuttle driver did not show up until 8:15 am).

Room Tip: Maybe to ask about rooms that tend to be quieter.

We took a party of 18 to the Villa Grazioli for 3 nights - everything was perfect - the rooms, the dinner - they laid out our seating plan perfectly and gave us a great dinner.
Everything was brilliantly organised will definitely return

It was a group of friends but it was also a tour.

Room Tip: All our rooms were good - both Paggeria and Limonaia
