Good hotel

Review of Hotel Traina
4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 18 Jul 2023via mobile
Good location and a 10-minute walk to the beach. Lots of amenities are nearby and great if you are using the hotel as a base. The room was ok, the restaurant was decent, and the roof terrace with the pool offered great views.

The hotel reception staff are great, really helpful and friendly. Always offer assistance to make our stay relaxing.

Would recommend the hotel if you are staying for a few nights

I booked this as a one night pit stop but was very happy with it and would reccomend for a budget break in a vibrant spanish town near the Mar Menor.
Quick and easy check in ,great room, spotlessy clean and comfortable on a chilly night.
Didn't stay for breakfast but there are loads of cafes round and about this street side hotel.

We were supposed to be going for Xmas, but due to covid, it was put on hold. We went in May 2021. The staff was lovely, everywhere was very clean, and the food was excellent, with very big potions and plenty to choose from. The rooftop pool was very big with plenty of sunbeds, tables, and chairs. The views from the pool are amazing. The hotel is in the perfect place, not far from the beach. All down the road from the hotel they are plenty of bars. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Booked this as a birthday present from my children, on arrival waited half hour for reception to appear despite ringing bell several times they only came when phone rang.

The hotel was deserted but we checked in and had to ask for the champagne, which we was told we was early (2.20pm) but they bought it up, no problem! Never received our water though.

Went out and had a lovely evening in lo pagan

Bed was very hard and pillow like sleeping on a brick, however the room it’s self was very nice but very hot, we tried to use the aircon to cook
It down but it wouldn’t work at all just blasted out hot air. The bonus of the jacuzzi bath was lovely and an amazing shower!

Breakfast was ok? The orange juice tasted weird and wasn’t orange juice colour? But choice of cold meats, cheese, fruits, yoghurt, breads plus hash browns bacon eggs etc but it’s had been there a while under lights, We was the only ones in the restaurant and whilst the food was ok it was like warm, we went at 8.30 so not sure what it would be like for people after.

The hotel offer a late check out for €19 which I requested and was refused despite as I said earlier there not being anyone in the hotel, we saw one other couple the whole time we was there! Baring in mind it’s the beginning of January so out of season so don’t know why they couldn’t do this. Yet I could of booked another night?

We only live one hour from hotel and love a break away so it’s a shame as I thought the place itself was very beautiful, maybe you could work on your staff and a few other points.

We have stayed here a few times when viewing properties in the area. It is a perfect location, 10mins walk to the beach and similar to San Pedro town in the opposite direction. There are lots of bars and restaurants in the area, all walking distance. You can hire bikes from the hotel. Pay to use the underground car park or you can park for free on any of the roads nearby. We did this each time we stayed and didn’t have a problem. Breakfast whilst varied wasn’t great quality. You get by ok but I would rather walk out for a better quality breakfast elsewhere. This has a canteen feel that you always get with a buffet. Rooms are basic but clean and we slept very well. No noise, we were near the back of the hotel on a upper floor. Balcony was lovely and we asked for a kettle so we could have a coffee on the balcony in the morning. Towels are small! A good base to sleep and a excellent location but eat elsewhere. We preferred this hotel to the Lodomar which we have also stayed at due to the location and accessibility to amenities.

Nice hotel with lovely staff. We stayed in the aparthotel and found the place clean and spacious. Nicely located.you can hire bikes from the hotel directly. We wanted an iron and coffee maker in our room, both were supplied without issue.
