Amazing hut for people like us loving to walk on mountains.
We took it as base for Monte Zebrù climb. It stays on Val Zebrù at 2900 m high, in Santa Caterina Valfurva area.
We found a menu with typical hut dishes, various and plentiful choice, clean rooms and welcoming approach by hosts make this one of better huts we ever visited in the Alps.
Prices are in line with CAI indications.
Just one aspect to be improved to reach max evaluation: considering the area a deeper knowledge of picks climbs would be very appreciated by not professional climbers like us.
For people who want visiting just the hut, consider it's a long path from Valfurva, ten km on mountain road in the valley not allowed for cars, plus other two hours trekking up to the mountain. A taxi service in the valley is available during summer period

A warm welcome of the hosts makes you feel at home easily. It is a great place, with a great view, and good food. At the end of the day, we were lucky to observe two beautiful foxes and an ibex that strolled around the 'refugio'. This place made me happy, what else do I need?

Nice staff, a young couple seems to run the place. It's an unbelievable location in the midst of nowhere. The panorama is unique! The most comfortable rooms and beds of all huts in the area.

We passed about 1 hour waiting in the Tibet Restaurant on the otherside of the Stelvio pass - so then we decided to go to this rifugio - as the path up to the Rifugio is not so easily to reach (you need to walk up for about 5-10 minutes) it is not full of the tourists. We got a warm welcome from the staff and they were very sorry that the could not serve us everything - but they made proposal to eat and we were happy about the choice, as the dishes were good.
