If your looking for a smart, romantic night out in Otranto this is defiantly the place. Incredible antipasto di mare crudo so fresh you could still smell the sea. The antipast di mare cotto was exquisitely presented and tasted as good as it looked. The cost of €42 for the two starters perhaps sounds a little steep but there was so much to eat and such excellent quality! We ordered two pasta dishes to follow - sea food spaghetti and pachieri with sword fish both totally delicious. There was an amazing selection of fresh fish on offer you could really push the boat out here if you felt inclined. Wine was a fresh and crisp local Leverano at €12 (I'm ashamed to say our second bottle of the day we had already had a bottle at lunch when we were on the beach) a snip! Deserts looked fabulous but we were too full to go there. Toto ( the owner I think that is his name) appeared with a huge pan of caramelise almonds around 11pm the whole restaurant was treated to a plate of these. If I must make a critique it would be that A) the place is hard to find so be sure you know your route and B) although the waiting staff were more than charming they could have been a little more on the ball.

Another evening out in Otranto and this restaurant we would not have found without recommendation since it is not so close to the city. From the promenade it is an approx 10 minutes walk (for a fit person) to the location. Since it holiday season is almost over we had the place almost for us alone. The service was very professional, the choice of food is great and the offering of fresh "frutti di mare" and fish just great.
If you love seafood, go here, no disappointment but just good food and good service.
Never head potatoes with mascarpone, you can get them here and I was surprised how good this tastes.
Can we recommend it, yes we can. From Italian perspective this is fine dining. Approx 125 € for 2 persons is in this area is a more expensive experience. When you are used to these prices, you have very good food for this money.

On the beach , only sunbeds and umbrellas taking the view we went to Atlantis. An advise in the Michelin made us hope for a high quality
The ricchi ( sea urchin) pasta was bitter. Fish was presented without any explanation. Tuna was overseasoned.
Service was comparably cold / uninterested

Would not return.

Such a great family meal today! One of the highlights of our trip. Will come again next time!

We shared the Caprese (best on our trip), a wonderful Rosé, and a mixed salad. All great.

I ordered the Groper Ravioli with eggplant and tomato sauce. Three large pieces, very delicious!

Finished with coffees, and they brought out complimentary sweets — homemade Almond brittle / toffee. Yum!

Oh, and then of course, complimentary Limencello at the end. Everyone does this, but it's usually quite sweet and unappetising. Not here, it was top shelf.

And they left the bottle.

Very romantic, think Malibu, California kind of a restaurant. Outside on the sea or cozy inside by a fire. Most professional restaurant in Otranto and the most special setting next to a little lighthouse on the sea. They always have great fish which most other restaurants do not. They have professional servers, cooks, owner--also unique.
