If your looking for a smart, romantic night out in Otranto this is defiantly the place. Incredible antipasto di mare crudo so fresh you could still smell the sea. The antipast di mare cotto was exquisitely presented and tasted as good as it looked. The cost of €42 for the two starters perhaps sounds a little steep but there was so much to eat and such excellent quality! We ordered two pasta dishes to follow - sea food spaghetti and pachieri with sword fish both totally delicious. There was an amazing selection of fresh fish on offer you could really push the boat out here if you felt inclined. Wine was a fresh and crisp local Leverano at €12 (I'm ashamed to say our second bottle of the day we had already had a bottle at lunch when we were on the beach) a snip! Deserts looked fabulous but we were too full to go there. Toto ( the owner I think that is his name) appeared with a huge pan of caramelise almonds around 11pm the whole restaurant was treated to a plate of these. If I must make a critique it would be that A) the place is hard to find so be sure you know your route and B) although the waiting staff were more than charming they could have been a little more on the ball.
