I have been in this restaurant last summer during my holiday. Even though our previous culinary experience was not the best in this place during our stay in Noto, we decided to give it a second chance after seeing there was new management. Thankfully we did. The new owners have been really kind and welcoming, especially Mrs Vivi who despite the language barrier was extremely forthcoming and willing to introduce us to their cuisine. We had octopus with fava beans, cream, and red sicilian shrimps with lemon gelato and guacamole as appetizers. Delicious and fresh! As the main course we ordered pasta with tomato sauce, fried aubergines, and homemade pasta with red shrimps and pistachio that were truly delicious. All the dishes were presented well and tasty. No need to mention the place, elegant but warm. Although we had to wait a little because the restaurant was full, it did not take away from the experience. We recommend this place to any local or fellow travelers. Ciao from Colorado

We stayed only one night in this lovely Hotel. It's perfectly locatedin the heart of Noto. Welcome service and check in was done smoothly and very warm. (As we expected in everywhere during our roundtrip in Sicily)

The room is spaceous and nicely decorated!
The matress however was to soft for the both of us.

We got also great advice regarding restaurant (Manna) to go out to from the manager of the Hotel which is only 50m away from the Hotel.

Thanks so much for having us!

Having found our original hotel not as expected, we were recommended to try la Dependance. The period before Easter is low season, so many of the hotels were closed. We telephoned late in the evening and spoke to the owner, Andrea who could not have been more helpful. He drove us to collect our luggage and organised a room for us. Beautifully designed bedrooms and marble bathrooms, with comfortable beds, headboards upholstered in heavy natural linen and curtains to match. The small side street - one of the prettiest in Noto - was blissfully quiet at night.

Breakfast was served in the restaurant below, a former tailor's shop. Tables had been fabricated out of old sewing machine bases, and vintage black and white photographs line the walls, all designed in a very contemporary way. This seems to be a family run business as we were told that Mama had made both the marmalade and the wonderful carrot and orange cake.

As with all hotels in Noto, there are steep stairs to climb so difficult for anyone who finds stairs a problem, but a thoroughly delightful place from which to see this extraordinary Baroque town.

We stayed two nights in the lovely Baroque town of Noto, Sicily, which is part of the Montalbano trail for those interested in this Sicilian detective series. The hotel rooms were beautiful, although sometimes a balcony means a Juliet-type one. Breakfast was very good, and despite being the only guests nothing was omitted from the selection. The mother and daughter combo looking after the place spoke almost no English but we had enough to chat about the usual things. They were helpful in recommending a very good local restaurant.

Delicious food with some good choices for vegetarians. The setting is very pleasant and stylish while the service was both efficient and friendly.
