Now that my friends have arrived from Malta it's time to launch into our visit properly! The review of this Osteria was enticing and deservedly so! We were lucky enough to land the last and only unreserved table - the place was full of Sicilian families celebrating children's 1st Holy Communion parties. I started withe superb ravioli, hot, succulent with the crunch of pistachios - this was followed by a freshly caught dorata which was so fresh it must have swum on to my plate. One of chums started with the sea urchins and was equally impressed. All washed down with a bottle white wine from Avola and then coffee an Averna. Not terribly cheap but value for money. There was a local festival going on in the square when we came out which just added to this Sicilian evening! I'll be back
