A cousin mentioned we should look for a Cofradia in Lanzarote. We stopped right after arriving for lunch and again for dinner a few days later. Place is simple, the staff is very kind. They have a large menu. Great fresh seafood, really cheap prices. If you are visiting Lanzarote do not miss out on this place!
Please note that the schedule we found on the net was incorrect. They rest on Mondays, open Tue-Sun, 12.00 pm-4.00 pm and 6.00 pm-10.00 pm.

We come in playa blanca every 2 years and little by little we nearly tried all the restaurants,we were dining one night in the Italian restaurant called L-Artista which is also very good and that night the chef recommended the Cofradia beside the harbour for a good paella( best paella in town)!!!!

This restaurant is located in the marine harbour and specialises in fresh seafood. Indeed the fish is fresh (I suppose), but the plates are not all that refined. Moreover, the service is cool, strict, harsh and almost unfriendly. My last piece of dorade was still on its way in between my mouth and stomach when a waitress showed up and took my plate away in a split second. Once been there, never again. Gracias!

We had looked forward to eating here as some good reviews and we thought the fishermens co-operative restaurant had to be good for fish dishes. Regretfully we were in for a big disappointment.
THE GOOD: Service and the recommended house wine from Famara.
THE NOT SO GOOD: Grilled octopus starter was enough for two but was distinctly chewy and had a glutinous texture – not a patch on either El Faro or the Camel which are also much cheaper. We were recommended to have the grilled sole main, what a mistake it was badly overcooked and dry and tasteless.
THE BAD: Rolls brought back from tables put into the bread basket and sauces re-used. Washing up liquid instead of soap in toilet and nothing to dry hands on. We will not be returning here.
If you still want to give it a try note that it no longer opens in the evening and shuts at 4pm

This restaurant is fantastic. It is not elegant, it is not fine dining, it does not have an extensive wine list, but serves the best fish I have ever tasted. The service is interesting, has been improved by hiring a young waitress to complement the two guys who have been there since the dawn of time. Cherne was the fish of the day that we chose on both visits. Stone bass in the U.K. Beautifully cooked and presented. Starters of octopus, day one, fried squid, day two. You will need to share, as the portions are generous. Local white wine famara is delicious. Frequented by locals and tourists alike. Menu del dia for 12.50euro.
