Our Japanese dishes are cooked fresh in front of your eyes and if you are staying at the hotel or not we welcome everyone to our restaurant. We recommend you book as we get very busy and do not want to disappoint, you can also walk in or take away if you prefer.

We had a dinner with california sushi rolls and it was delicious. A really nice restaurant. The staff was friendly. After a look at the menue and a glance of what the other guests had for dinner they had a LOT of delicious food.

Within the excellent Volcan Hotel complex a small nice restaurant where you can sit and watch the chef at work. Food and service were fine but atmosphere lacking. Furthermore as a Club hotel guest we were advised a 20% discount would be given on our meal. No. No discount on drinks..well ok..or water..or dessert "Only on food" , ..????
As other guests have commented it is expensive even with the err discount!

I would say the best points about this restaurant are the amazing views across Playa Blanca, the chef cooking your food in front of your eyes in the restaurant and the lovely building in which it is situated. The food is pretty standard Japanese fayre as far as I could see, with a very small choice for vegetarians. We had Japanese tea to drink, which at 4.50 Euros for a small cup, was very pricey. However, we assumed, as is the custom in other Japanese restaurants, that we would get a free top up. But, alas, not. Our second cup was also charges at 4.50 each! When the bill came we spoke to the waitress about it and she told us it was special tea. So, basically they were asking 18 Euros for what amounted to the same quantity of tea as would be found in a small pot! We refused to pay, but did agree to pay 9.00, as that was the price on the menu. We were shocked that they had the cheek to charge £15 for equivalent to a small pot of tea!

We tried this restaurant (which is attached to the Hotel Volcan in Playa Blanca but accessible to those not staying at the hotel) as a change from the hotels main restaurant.
As guests at the hotel we had a set menu which was very good and service was attentive wothout being fussy. The restaurant was full which must be a good sign for a Tuesday night in mid January.

The best thing about this restaurant was the view! Food was served cold and had to wait a long time between courses! When the bill came they had charged us twice for the starter !
The service from the younger waitress was lovely but the other lady bordered on manic! Throwing wine in our glass and taking our order whilst looking everywhere else but at us! A comical but disappointing night!
