The villa is exactly as it says on the advert and looks exactly the same as the pictures. It is very close to the marina rubicon (15 min walk) and supermarket is a 5 min walk away and is very well stocked and great value for money. A taxi fare to the marina or centre of playa blanca costs around 3-4 euros. The villa is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing holiday including excellent wifi. The villa is very clean, well presented and the pool is lovely, if I could say one negative thing it would be that the ladders in the pool could do with a lower step as it is a very high climb to get out and would not suit elderly or less able bodied people getting out the pool. The view from the garden is gorgeous and not overlooked by anyone, very private. The bedrooms have ceiling fans but in peak season maybe a fan in each room would be beneficial as the rooms can be quite warm, this is not a complaint, just a suggestion. The owner Jaime ensured that our stay was perfect, we received a lovely welcome pack on arrival and were greeted by a very nice lady with the keys to the villa. Jaime was very helpful throughout our holiday and I would definitely recommend this villa and would definitely return again.
Location is within walking distance of supermarkets and the marina where there are numerous restaurants. 10 mins drive to the beautiful Papagayo beaches, which are a must visit. Get there early and you will have a beach all to yourself! The villa is spacious and clean and comfortable. The pool is smaller than photos imply and has no shallow end ( im 5ft 2 and needed to stand on tip toes) but is heated. Double check in advance the directions from airport to the villa as the Google map on the tripadvisor site shows a different location.
First problem, the location given on Tripadvisor is not correct, in fact it's a mile or two away! Enter "Calle Cyca, 35580 Yaiza" on Google Maps and that is a lot closer - unfortunately Tripadvisor will not permit a link to the correct location.
Good points.... the villa is clean, comfortable and quiet. Beds OK, lots of hot water for showers (does take a while to come through).
Washing machine is new and works well. (Not that we did a lot of washing!).
The villa is well appointed, settees, dining table etc also outdoor furniture and barbecue.
The WiFi is fast and reliable (after the first 4 days with it not working).
The villa was comfortable, though probably not large enough for 6 adults.
Suitable for a family as it is a quiet area and not busy.
It is located within an area that was being developed but now has stopped with buildings in various stages of completion (The buildings/site is now owned by the bank Santander). If you are walking at night you will need a torch as the street lights are not working (no wiring!).
Nearest supermarket is only 10 minutes walk away. The beach is about 3 km away.
The swimming pool was good and warm. The cover is failing and needs fixing. Be aware if you have small children the pool is about 1.5m deep all over - no shallow area.
The kitchen is OK but minor repairs/replacements needed. Lights in fridge and cooker hood do not work; Turntable in microwave does not rotate (very uneven heating); Sandwich toaster needs holding to keep together (clip missing).
The TV is new but not working....no programmes either off-air or satellite.
No DVD player - on the inventory but missing.
It would be nice to have a CD player/usb memory stick/radio to provide your own music.
An information pack is needed for the villa and surrounding area. We had the electricity trip but could not find the switches ("hidden" behind the front door behind a picture!). What happens to the rubbish? (No spare bin liners or toilet rolls!)
If the above fairly minor faults are fixed I would recommend this villa if you have your own transport.
Fabulous villa, Jaime the manager was so helpful & ensured everything went well, even texting after our first night to make sure everything was OK. The facilities were excellent. Have already recommended to others.
