If you're looking for a relaxing family holiday where you don't have to fight for sun loungers, want to get up when you want and have a nice choice of breakfast and then have a nice chat around the pool bar, whilst the kids are enjoying a game of pool, then come to Las Casitas. Included are a couple of nights of entertainment each week, a quiz on a Tuesday and live music on a Friday, both starting at 9:30ish/10:23ish : -).

I am a co-owner of the RCI owned WimPen managed sister resort Las Brisas next door but couldn't get 2 weeks there this year so I took my first week at Las Casitas.
We were assigned apt.12 on the periphary and this area reeked of sewage. We complained but were not offered an alternative apt until the 4th.day.
So we moved to another apartment no 47 which was facing the main road but had great views across it of the Playa Blanca harbour and the island of Fuerte Ventura on the horizon. This compansated form the trfafic noises from the road which were not too bad. The street lights were rather bright and annoying and somewhat spoiled the night view.
But moving mid-way through the week was really unacceptable and complaints and furore will follow! The resort was fully aware of the sewage stink problem but didnt seem able to deal with it. They also blamed Las Brisas next door!
The first apartment we stayed in had single mattresses with very broken springs but they only agreed to replace the most damaged of them. As well as the stink my first night there was unbearable with no sleep and stench.
They did not have sheets that joined up the single beds making them into king size nor did they have duvets larger than singles. I think this is preposterous that couples have to sleep apart on twin singles.Bring your own superking sheet just in case!
There were no oven gloves and not enough pots and pans for a self catering family of 5. The citrus juicer was a manual type. The small kitchen lacked any spare cupboard space for food. But there was a a large blender and in general the kitchen was well set up. We got some extra kitchen things we asked for.
There is effective aircon in the bedroom(s). The lounge kitchen area has a ceiling fan but no aircon,
There is a small garden with a patio with sunbeds and umbrella and typical Lanzarote black small stone garden area. The plants and trees here are luxuriant and well maintained, as is also the case with Las Brisas.
The second apartment had really good firm beds. Everything else wss identical except there was no stench.
The resort is quite small, which we found pleasing. It has no shop but the Las Brisas one is close by and the main shopping area just across the road.
Being across the street from the sea front was really good. The main Playa Blanca supermarket SuperDino is only a few minutes away as was a hub of nice cafes and small shops.
The internet here is around 5-8mbps which is really good.
The tv selection is also good including Sky Sport sMain even with the EFL PL matches
(unlike Las Brisas which mo longer has the big matches in the apartments).
The bar cafe is small but pleasant as is the pool area.

Room Tip: Ask for a harbour view. Ask for no sewage smells. Bring your own large fitted sheet.

After a long busy year at work I was really looking forward to a 2wk family holiday and so glad we booked here,

From the moment we checked in it has been the most relaxing holiday we have been on,

The villa was spotless and smelt fresh clean when we opened the door and was lovely a cool and the food pack we ordered was very welcomed as a nice cold beer was just what I needed after travelling,

We had a 2 bed villa and the rooms are plenty big enough with the bedrooms having air con was great and both rooms had 2 single beds and the best bit was they are so comfy with the memory foam mattresses so had great nights sleep,

The living room was nice and big with a sofa bed and nice flat screen tv with British channels and a nice ceiling fan which kept the room cool,

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need....now the only bad point is this....the cooker takes a LONG time to heat up so cooking was about of a long task,

The patio is nice with dinning table and sun beds and even a nice big BBQ,

The resort grounds are spotless and very well maintained throughout,

The pool is not massive but plenty big enough and starts at 1m deep and goes to 2.20m deep and is fairly warm and plenty of sun beds and the best bit..YOU DON'T HAVE TO GET UP AT 6AM TO GET ONE,

The bar/restaurant is open from 9.30am til late and the couple are very friendly and is the barman that comes on duty in the evenings with the food prices very good and the food is great,

The location is fantastic with the town of Playa Blanca and restaurants/bars and marina just across the road from the little gate of the resort (NO more then a min walk ),

The Playa Dorado beach is about a 15min walk along the sea front as is Playa Flamingo beach (out the resort back gate, cross the road to sea front and turn left to Dorado beach and right the Flamingo beach),

I can honestly say this has been one of the most relaxing holiday I have been on and will 100% be back.

We stayed 3 days at this lovely complex - and had a super time. Booked at short notice (arrived within an hour of booking) after our arrangements for a different villa left us without accommodation at a peak week. The place was great, clean and tidy ; staff were very welcoming and friendly. Facilities excellent . Our bungalow was at the edge of the site - by the road the previous reviewer refers to- didn't affect us at all , it is a main road, but didn't affect our use of the patio and loungers. Definitely will come back here, but will book a little more in advance

This place is nice and quiet. Right beside the main road that leads to the harbour with shops & restaurants that all close at 11pm, yes 11pm.
PB is absolutely dead at night. We have come to lanzarote every year for the past 15 years and always stay in PDC or Matagorda & Los pocillos .
This year because we were coming for a month we said we would try somewhere new for a change. So I booked this place in PB for two wks and another place in matagorda for the following 2 wks.

I went by all the great reviews on trip advisor like I usually do but I couldn't understand how this one had no negative ones.

It states that the cleaners come twice a week, they come with clean linen but
*don't seem to change the cover on the duvet as there was blood on my daughters one and never changed in the whole two weeks.

*The pull out bed had wrappers under it as if it hadn't been cleaned for a while in there either.

*The bath was disgusting, we had to leave the plug in while showering as the water would come back up from the connecting lines. It would take a good 45 mins for the water to empty.

*The sun shield curtain fell on me while I opened it one morning luckily I opened it and not the children as there would of been an accident with the weight of it.

*I brought all of this to Reception's attention but it was never fixed, just left on the ground. With no sun shield the room was then boiling.

* The clothes horse is metal so as you can imagine not great drying clothes on especially when it's old and rusty.

**It doesn't state on the website that children are only allowed in at 10am-12pm & 4pm-6pm with inflatables. It states this in the welcome book but the lifeguard told my daughter at 5pm it was time to get out. ?? They have it as 6pm in their book. Even though she uses her ring to help her swim as she's still only learning and not confident enough.

This was the big downfall of our holiday as the children spend most of their time in the pool when away. We ended up checking out 3 days early so we could try and enjoy the rest of our holiday.

We like our quiet holiday destinations but this was just too quiet and not for us. The area & apartments are more for the older generation and are very dated. Like stepping back in the 70's. Don't think we will be back to PB again nothing to do nothing to see.
