Great, fresh seafood but very pricey and service is extremely slow. Located close to the DeltaWorks, ideal to enjoy a seafood meal after your visit. Especially the mussels are a must-try!

We were on the oyster trail between Zierikzee and Yerseke and wanted to make a stop on the artificial island of Neetje Jans. We entered the shop and rapidly found some interesting items.Amongst them two cases of fresh Dutch oysters. I decided to order some oysters to try on the spot, and was told that the place actually had closed an hour ago! They just waited for some guests to leave the restaurant.- Anyway, we were served our oysters.- That is service!!! - Once arrived at home, we opened the oyster cases, we bought: What a treat!!! Wonderful place

Nice restaurant with very fresh seafood, some of it, like the mussels, from their own production. You can't get it fresher than that, and maybe we should have tried them. The famous Dutch kibbeling was crispy but too dry. The sea brass was fresh but rather boring. The children's menu was nice, but something went wrong. Due to a machine malfunction, the could not serve the ice cream normally included. This can happen and is acceptable, if there's an alternative or a price reduction. Neither was offered and that's a missed opportunity.
As an absolute plus: the bread roll with Dutch shrimps was exceptional.

Maybe the mussels are good here, the shrimps certainly were, but for kibbeling you better drive on. Many more and better options around.

If you want to visit the Delta park in Zeeland you have to stop in the middle of the bridge on the island Neeltje Jans. You can visit the museum and have many more activities ( a lot for young children ) but we went for seafood
High / fresh quality but a bit TO touristical ( and small )

Context: Went for lunch during mid-week
PRO's: The kibbeling was very nice. Good atmosphere outside. Nice aesthetics. Depending on when you go- you can see the mussels being freshly delivered and gathered from the boats. Plenty of choice of sea food.

CON's: None during my visit.

Wish I had a bigger stomach and visited more often.
