We stayed here with our two daughters. Very welcoming and a lovely location just outside town. Judy and Gerard went out of their way to be helpful. They provided great advice on what to do and set us off with a magnificent breakfast with plenty of home-grown produce and home-baked bread. Would thoroughly recommend.

We were so comfortable at Jacaranda Lodge that we didn't mind the rain. There was plenty of room in the house to relax. Our ground floor room opened up to the pretty garden. Judy and Gerard were warmly accommodating of all our needs. We enjoyed the fruit juice and jams from the garden and the homemade breads. I also loved the small bouquet of colorful fresh flowers in our room to bring a bit of the garden inside.

A great and most comfortable place to stay. Very quiet and very scenic. The preserves during breakfast was all homemade jams, picked from their own backyard. They gladly assisted me to find a tour guide to be able to hike on the northern coastal trail. Gerard and Judy Rooney were most gracious and made my stay in New Zealand most memorable.

Spent 2 days here in the beautiful countryside of the Coromandel Peninsula. This B&B hosted by Gerard and Judy Rooney is quaint and picturesque. Fresh orange juice from their trees in the morning. Toast from homemade bread and jams and preserves made from their own fruit...Couldn't ask for more. Comfortable rooms and the hosts were more than helpful with information about the area. Highly recommend this place!

Room Tip: No bad rooms here.

Jacaranda Lodge is a lovely large private house in a perfect country setting. The owner looked after us superbly and provided a delicious cooked breakfast. The facilities in our room and in the public areas of the house are excellent including provision to make hot drinks and a supply of biscuits. The lodge is a short drive from Coromandel Town which has a good selection of shops and places to eat and drink as well as two petrol stations. We particularly enjoyed dinner at The Pepper Tree Restaurant. The views on the coastal road from the lodge to Fletcher Bay at the tip of the Coromandel Peninsula are stunning.

Room Tip: Ask for en suite facilities
