We have frequented the original Awesome hotel on a few occasions. Our expectations were easily met. Quality hotel offering comfort, good service and fine dining. We noted that construction of a much larger extension was in progress.
Unfortunately due to Covid restrictions we had been unable to revisit hotel.
Covid restrictions now eased we decided to book an overnight stay and attend the New Year’s Eve buffet
On arrival at the hotel we were amazed at the sheer size of the hotel. Most striking was the very large landscaped car park. Adequate secure parking is very important to us. An unexpected bonus was bays for EV charging. We have a EV so felt very reassured.
When you enter the hotel you are warmly welcomed by courteous uniformed bell boys who take care of all your needs. The lobby area is bright, spacious and there is a coffee pastry shop.The coffee shop is tastefully decorated with comfortable seating. Checking in is done quickly and efficiently. A few general rules are advised, and most helpful is the guidance of the location of the hotel amenities.
We were placed on the 3rd floor. The bell boys chaperoned us to our room via a clean, quiet lift. On entering the room we were shown all the facilities the room offered.
The room is spacious and luxuriously furnished. Our first impressions was that everywhere from the initial entrance to the room itself were spotless and clinically clean. Obviously this a new hotel, but it is very evident that some serious thought had gone into the design of the room, it’s truly 21st Century.
We have stayed in many hotels so have a good understanding of operating room facilities. What confused me ( not the wife ) was looking for the shower head. My wife pointed out that the shower head was neatly installed in the ceiling…..very novel ! The faucets allowed the water to flow like a fountain, again very novel.The WC has automatic flushing and a heated seat, a bit OTT !
Enough about the room. The swimming pool is easily the largest infinity pool we have seen. There is a small section which is heated.
What is very, very obvious is the standard of cleanliness is taken very seriously. We have never encountered a hotel so clean. It could be described as obsessive.
The old Awesome restaurant always had a good reputation for dining. The new restaurant is unbelievably superior. The quality of food, service, and presentation can only be equaled by expensive high end specialty restaurants.Incidentally the food offerings at the buffet was very diverse, and catered for all palettes
We had to leave early, plus having symptoms of a New Year hangover, gave the breakfast buffet a miss. We assumed it would be up to the same standard as the other hotel offerings
Our conclusion is that this hotel is a magnificent 21st Century establishment…..remarkable. We cannot offer enough complimentary comments, so we would advice ‘seeing is believing’.

Upon check in, they lecture guests about their rules. This is the first time I’ve encountered such practice. Upon entering, the room turned out to be a huge disappointment. The room and the bathroom were not very clean. The floors were gritty and obviously not vacuumed prior to check in. This was supposedly after the delayed check in because they needed to “prepare” the room. The bathroom walls have a lot of mildew in the grout lines and obviously not wiped in a while. The sink has a weird sound when used because the drain was not properly installed. For half the price we paid, we could have gotten a room twice as big and far more opulent in Okada and for the same price, a room five times as big. The room does not even lock properly. We only received one soap for a room that supposedly houses six people. No couch was available. Slippers were not provided. Very stingy. Breakfast was not even buffet.

The hotel is 2 star at best but has luxury pricing. Overpriced
