Reviewed 10 January 2018

We had a two night stay earlier in January. We were travelling as two couples and opted for a 3 bedroom apartment to ensure we had plenty of living space.
Check-in was simple - the reception office is a couple of hundred yards down the road from the main complex. Our apartment was made available to us early, without extra cost and we were provided with two sets of keys, plus a garage key and advised instructions as to where to park and what exit to use (to the lifts).
We accessed the building as described and took the lift to our second floor room. The apartment was big, plenty of living space (two decent size sofas), table and chairs and a TV with DVD player. We had free wi-fi and had been provided with the codes when checking in.
The kitchen was fully equipment - plenty of crockery, cutlery and glassware. A vast selection of pots and pans for those who may be staying longer, plus a dishwasher and washing machine and a family size fridge/freezer.
The bedrooms consisted of 1 double with en-suite. Shower over the tub and his n hers sinks and a toilet. 1 double room and 1 twin room with family bathroom with a double shower, sink and toilet.
There were plenty of towels for our party of four.
Bedding consisted of a sheet, and cover, but I did notice that there was a spare blanket in the wardrobe.
There was sufficient storage space in the bedrooms and plenty of standard european two pin plug sockets.
The only observation I would make is that there was no safe...(unless we failed to find it)
Heating was via a hot air system, which was very efficient and warmed the place up quickly. The two double bedrooms had balcony's as did the living room and on the main patio there was outside dining area for six plus two sunbeds. A clothes airer was also available (no hanging of towels/ clothing is permitted over the balconies)
There is a swimming pool at the complex.
Our apartment overlooked the sea, which was a fab start today to sit and have breakfast on the balcony and take in the great views - we were in luck as the weekend weather was unexpectedly warm for the time of year.
To exit the building you need a key as you have to unlock a gate to exit onto the road (both sets of keys provided have apartment key and gate key). All I would say about exiting the building, is I don't know if we made hard work of it, but we couldn't see a way out unless we went via the garage. I'm sure there must've been another route....but we couldn't figure it out.
To check out you return the keys to the reception office down the road and we paid upon leaving.
Good value for money for a weekend stay or longer.

Dear Joanlamme,
Thank you for your kind review and I have noted down your suggestions. We have placed paintings in the apartment and we are currently looking at decoration for the apartment to make it cosy.

My boyfriend and I went to Calaceite in May 2017. We rented a small apartment with two bedrooms (one with a double bed, one with two beds), two bathrooms (1 with a bathtub and one with a shower), a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a flatscreen with a option to plug a usb stick. Not a lot of English tv and a huge balcony with to sun beds. Free wifi in the rooms and also near the pool.

The accommodation also offers two poolsides. The pool downstairs is the big one. There are enough sun-beds to lay on. However, the pool is surrounded with by the huge apartment buildings. There is still a lot of sun but sometimes it feels like you are being watched. The pool upstairs is a lot smaller but doesn't feel so much surrounded. The water is clean and is kept clean by the service staff.

The accommodation is super clean and everything is well organized and taken care of. The staff of the reception is very helpful and kind.

If you go by car; you can rent a parking spot but you can also park outside of the garage for free.

Overall it is a great place to stay at.

Stayed here for one week 28-4th September. Courteous reception staff who moved us from the originally allocated 3rd floor apartment to a 1st floor apartment (due to the cliff top layout, the height of the building is much greater than you would expect and not good for vertigo sufferers or adventurous young children). The double bed was so hard my husband and I could not sleep in it and were forced to sleep in the single beds in our sons rooms. The room itself was good, great shower and most amenities although I don't believe that there was a hairdryer. Although the chairs in the living room were not very comfortable and would definitely not of a luxury quality. Unfortunately there was only two English news channels (the majority being German channels). Due to the layout and the access to the pool, I would not recommend this for people with a disability or problems with their knees since there is a lot of stairs to negotiate. The nearby town of Nerja was lovely with lots of restaurants and shops. Frigiliana is also worth a visit as are the caves of Nerja.

Dear Linda,
At the end, your stay with us does not seem to have been as expected, and I wish we could have done more for you. We have tried the bed that you describe as hard but I had the feeling it was the same as all the others we have. Still, I have made a note to change it just in case. As you well describe, the apartments are on a hill and a car is needed as we are located outside the town of Torrox. In order to access the pools or apartments there are elevators so no need to take the stairs.

With best regards

Iso, mukava huoneisto suuressa huoneistokolossissa. Respan kaupassa ei juuri mitään, mutta hyvä palvelu muuten. Suurin yllätys oli korkeusero: huoneistot sijaitsevat kukkulalla eivätkä rannassa.Auto pakollinen.
A big cosy appartement in the big colosseum. The shop in the resception was almost empty, but the service was good in general. The biggest surprise was that appartements aare located on the hill - not on the beach. So you must have a car.

Room Tip: Ehdottomasti kannattaa valita merinäköala. Absolutely you must choose sea wiew.

Dear AnssiVee,

Thank you for taking your time in writing a review of your stay in our apartments. As you well mention we are located on a hill first line sea but not right on the beach and a car is very recommended. The supermarket is running out of stock as we will be moving to a different location nearby.
With best regards
Vicente
