The hub and I had two different curries - chicken madras, chicken tikka masala and naan bread. The food was alright.

I had a delivery from this restaurant, ordering on line was very easy, then a text arrived with confirmation and ETA of food. When my food arrived, there was no receipt but the gentleman emailed it through as soon as he returned to restaurant. Food was very fresh and tasty. YUMMY and will return.

This restaurant has improved in every way since it's take over. We historically avoided the place as the food was (used to be) a bit of a joke, with every dish tasting/looking the same with a lack of fresh ingredients being noticeable.

Now this restaurant has transformed with stunning dishes such as the Kadia Paneer Hot (vegetarian option) and starters such as the garlic tikka (boneless chicken). Ingredients are fresh and with this comes the flavour. The sauces are quite delicious. The breads fresh and tasty.

I would recommend this restaurant to family and friends without doubt. In fact we would join them because it's so nice.

I would make one recommendation to the owners (and this may be a POHM/UK thing), add chunky chips to the menu (not fries or frozen). Curry, naan and real chips being a proven favourite Internationally.

While on a weekend away in Whangamata, a friend and I wanted something for dinner so wandered down the road and found this restaurant abuzz with lots of diners - always a good sign!
So wandered in with our BYO bottle of wine and were promptly seated. This is a lovely casual place, comfortable and inviting. It was a cold evening and Kafal was welcoming warm place to choose for dinner. Food was lovely and tasty, staff friendly and even though they were busy and said there could be a bit of a wait, it was no longer than what you would expect. We would definitely return to enjoy their fare in future!

We were welcomed by a staff member as soon as we entered and ushered to a nicely placed table by the window. Although BYO, we ordered a glass of Gisborne chardonnay wine from the available list. This was served quickly and our orders were taken as soon as we were ready. There was very little waiting time for the mains meals to arrive hot and nicely presented. While we ate there was pleasant background music and groups were constantly entering, which suggested the popularity of the restaurant. The whole experience was very positive and we would certainly return if the opportunity arises.
