We stayed in Hagg Hill Hall for a long weekend with 15 friends, and we all had a fantastic time. The house is huge and beautiful, comfortable, and traditionally decorated. It felt like being in a gorgeous but quirky old manor! The dining room is stunning, the bedrooms have very comfortable 4 poster beds and most of them are en-suite, the fireplace in the living room is great, and the kitchen was both beautiful and convenient. The conservatory is also great, with heaters built in. The indoor pool is huge, and gives onto the second living room. the hot tub is outside and was very easy to use as well. Towels (bath and pool) and bedding were provided. The owner was very helpful, and came by every day to check everything was ok. He has 3 very friendly dogs who came by as well! The garden is large and has a small field at the back that was great for ball games. We had a really enjoyable stay and really felt at home in this beautiful mansion, I would definitely recommend it for a holiday stay.
My extended family of 16 people aged from 4 to 77 had a great weekend in this amazing house. It is comfortable, excellently equipped and quirky, full of antiques, with all modern amenities. Most of the bedrooms have en-suites and there are two lounges, a large well equipped kitchen, a large conservatory and an outstanding dining room, seating 18, in which we enjoyed a lovely Saturday evening candlelit dinner provided by 3Sixty Hospitality in Chesterfield. The swimming pool and hot tub were fully enjoyed by both children and adults and the pretty garden has plenty of seating and a pool table. The bedding and towels were pristine and in plentiful supply for bedrooms and the pools. Pets are welcome and the garden opens on to a large grassed exercise area and there are footpaths running by the house, which our two dogs enjoyed. The house has extensive views in all directions and is within easy reach of shopping, take away food servers, or eating out facilities. The owner, Mr Humphreys, was very helpful and sociable. I have no hesitation in recommending a holiday stay in this beautiful home.

16 of us went here for a hen weekend! The house is full of character and sitting by the Aga in the morning with coffee was perfect! The dining table was massive so we could all sit together for meals. We arranged butlers in the buff for cocktails on the Friday and a chef came to the house to teach us cook brunch on Saturday morning and out in chesterfield Saturday night! The house was perfect! We had so much fun and the owner was a character and a delight to be around! Thank you so much xxx
Beautiful old house. Mel made us feel very at home, and such an intelligent, knowledgable man - a real character. Plenty of fresh towels and bedding, and whole house lovely and warm. Pool and hot tub were fantastic - enjoyed by all - ages ranging from 2 to 76. Only thing I would say is that the place could do with a bit more of a clean. Apart from that, perfect.
A group of 17 friends were able to make good use of Hagg Hill Hall, having a pool party and taking the ancient copper jelly moulds from the kitchen walls to craft some decent cuisine. A really unique and quirky property an easy drive from some great Peak District towns and walks.
