A lovely traditionally laid out pub with a good surrounding. Met a friend here for a light lunch and was lucky enough to be able to sit outside in the sun, beautiful views of Derbyshire at all angles and easily accessed from Chesterfield.
However, being a vegetarian there was not much choice but opted for a cheese sandwich and side portion of chips; the sandwich was a typical breadcake which was dry with a few slices of cheddar on, side salad was fine as were the chips but definitely could have done this myself for more cheaper! It then took nearly 2 hours after we had finished eating for the table to be cleared even though the pub wasn't busy. Having said that the staff were reasonably friendly and quick to serve and take orders at the bar. Would return fr drinks but not food.
