“Picturesque Base with good facilities”

From the time we arrived we were pleased with the apartment. It was clean and airy and had all the components needed for use during our stay. From the very big patio there was a picturesque view of the bird sanctuary. We used the apartment as a base, so did not get to use the complex's pool and spa, but other visitors were certainly in there. It is very close to good beaches with monitored swimming areas.

It is warm and humid at the time of year we stayed there and whilst the apartment had good fans, air conditioning may be a useful addition.

“Everything we wanted in a convenient location”

The apartment was spotless and had lots of useful extras. We loved the big balcony overlooking the lake and the two bathrooms. We used the complex pool for cooling off in the day and the spa for relaxing at night. It was great being so close to the beach for those early morning jogs and for the surfing at Currumbin Alley. Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, just a few minutes walk away, was a hit. We fed the lorakeets for free morning and evening and also had a big day out there. The location of the apartment was perfect - away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to drive to the major attractions and only 5 minutes drive from The Pines shopping and sports complex. Wifi and "green" shopping bags would have been handy but the lack of these did not detract from our wonderful holiday! Thanks Colleen.

Leaving "green" bags for guests is a great idea. I can do that easily. Also I have a mobile WiFi device I can leave for guests to put money on.

“Perfect Gold Coast base”
Reviewed 13 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

I have recently returned from a week on the Gold Coast with my elderly parents. My dad is vision impaired and has a guide dog so it was very important that we chose a place that was suitable for our needs.
This property was perfect!
It had tiled floors throughout and a HUGE outdoor deck overlooking the lake. It was very hot while we were there and the shade from the large trees next to our deck was lovely.

Being a ground floor apartment it was very easy to access the pool and spa with only a few stairs to negotiate. Access to the carpark was also very easy.
There are plenty of public parklands and walking trails just outside the grounds of the complex.
The grounds of the complex are beatuifully maintained with beautiful lush, tropical plants throughout. The pool and spa were excellent - large and very accessible.
We loved all the birdlife on the lake and had fun feeding the very friendly swans and ducks.
This is a beautiful area of the Gold Coast - we watched whales from the shore and enjoyed walking along the beach paths. The dog beach was a 2 minute drive away so we were able to let the guide dog off for a run and a swim.
Colleen, the owner of this apartment couldn't have been more helpful, making sure that we had everything we needed and ringing us during our stay to check how we were going.

I would highly reccommend this place if you want a peaceful and picturesque setting to return to each day,
