What a wonderful and perfect stay we've had at the Gîte Les Enfantines! The house is very cosy and comfortable. The garden is quiet and private, with a nice swimming pool, enough sun and shade. We've made great walks right from the house. The village of Bédoin is at walking distance as well (40 minutes through the beautiful vineyards at the foot of the Mont Ventoux). The hosts are lovely people!
A stay at Gite Les Enfantines is a stay in Paradise. Inside, the space is simply but tastefully furnished, full of light and air and equipped with everything you need to be completely self-sufficient; step outside and you're in the idyllic, tranquil garden, filled with fragrance, flowers and butterflies. The little patio (prettily overhung with grape vines) provides ample space for al fresco dining and a ringside view of the pool; even if you don't fancy taking the plunge, the sun spangled water is to be enjoyed for its aesthetic value alone (see if you can spot the pool's benevolent guardian hidden in the stone wall above it). Although part of the hosts' garden, the gite's little area feels completely private and it's hard to believe that a road runs past it. And what a road! It winds a poppy-lined way from the sleepy hamlet of Les Baux to the vibrant village of Bedoin through fields of cherry, olive and fig trees. My daughter and I were lucky enough to spend week in this property in May and I can't recommend it highly enough; the icing on the cake is the added bonus of new owners Elaine and Tarlochan, whose quiet presence enhanced what was a wonderful holiday. They were on hand to offer advice, trip recommendations and witty conversation should it be required, but were equally skilled in becoming invisible, giving us all the space we needed to enjoy this little slice of Heaven.
