Great location if you want to explore Tlaquepaque, as it is close to all galleries and restaurants. Extremely friendly and helpful bi-lingual staff, comfortable room and pretty courtyard tropical garden. Very good value.

Wanting to avoid Guadalajara proper I chose the Rosa Morada for its central location and walkability to the park, artisan shops and restaurants.

The flamingo pink hotel was quiet, probably by virtue of its proximity to the City Police Dept.

The maid, who looked like an extra in a Hitchcock film, eyed us with contempt while the overwhelmed desk clerk scurried around in a frenzy of activity.

Given a gargantuan room key, we were lead down a courtyard of tropical splendor—lush native plants, brilliant flowers, swaying trees, birds winging their way to an azure sky. Outside paradise–inside “Night of the Iguana.”

The dark room had Spanish Inquisition style décor although they were obviously aiming for a jungle theme. The bathroom was tiny, grungy and inconvenient.

We couldn't decide if the pillows on our lumpy bed were filled with boiled potatoes or braided gym socks.

Breakfast was a fiasco with an inept server and bland food.

Room Tip: Last room on the end was quiet

Front desk and chef were friendly, warm, bi-lingual people who were willing to help us with any question, share the recipe for their salsa, and assist at every turn. Yes, the salsa was that good (to me). Helped us get oriented to Tlaquepaque as it was our first time there. Provided ice upon request more than once. Opened the doors early in the morning as I like to walk in the dawn hours when traveling - can't sleep late when rested :). There were quite a bit of festivities happening while we were there, but once inside, you'd never have known, very quiet. Close to great restaurants, plaza with vendors and music, and safe place to wander around. We are planning on returning later this year ... Can't wait to go back!

Loved this place. We Felt very safe and comfortable in the hotel and walking the couple of blocks to restaurants. Perfect location. Easy walk to the action and shopping. The rooms were so nice and they have good beds. Wonderful helpful staff. The breakfast was great. I highly recommend it and will definitely stay there when I return. The parking is on the same street one block away.

First of all the front desk is as helpful as you can ask for. We stayed in room 6 very nice and cozy, the room was just right for us, clean and neat and for the price you can't beat it. Furthermore, it is very close to the main square just around the corner and very safe.

Room Tip: Room 6 is a excellent choice nice and quiet.
