We are a couple (27 and 32) and arrived on Saturday 9th September for 11 nights, booked an all inclusive package through TUI.

Upon arrival to our hotel,we were advised that our room would be situated in one of the further blocks from the main resort area and so we were kindly taken by buggy driver. We had a room on the ground floor, 1201, and upon entering our room we were a disappointed to find this very basic, for a 4* hotel we would have expected more. The room was quite small, dark and we had no view from our balcony as we were on the ground floor, obscured by trees. Some of the amenities were not in the best of condition, we felt that the room could do with improvement. However, the rooms were cleaned and beds made up daily which we were pleased with.

We were happy to be near the 'Number 8 pool' as we spent a lot of time there and preferred this pool from all others. It had a nice atmosphere and the pool bar/palmetto bar were always good with friendly staff. There is usually enough sunbeds for everyone, although guests do appear to reserve these early morning.

The beach is lovely and accessible directly from the back of the hotel, it is a mixture of sand and pebble. We spent a few mornings here relaxing. There is a pool bar close to this too, where orders such as hamburgers, souvlaki, pitta, chips and hot dogs are cooked from fresh. Would recommend! There is also a mini market on the beach.

Unfortunately, we have to be honest and say that we did notice an absolutely awful smell of sewage around the resort every day and sometimes in the main lobby too which was not pleasant at all. We feel that this really does need to be resolved.

The restaurant was very good, there was always plenty of choice and you can tell that the staff work really hard to look after their guests and make a unique experience for each. Food was hot, fresh and we particularly liked the pancake station for Breakfast and Chinese station for dinner. There was always different choice, meats, fish, pizza, pasta, chips, salad and lovely desserts to choose from too. Choice of soft drinks, fruit juice and cocktails were good. The beer was ok, but cannot comment on the wines as we did not have these.

We went to the entertainment once, we were disappointed and felt this was poor.

With regards to the local area, we used to Akti Shuttle Bus a couple of times to get into Kardamaina, the free bus that runs from the hotel. It is worth a trip as there is a beautiful harbour, little gift shops, plenty of restaurants and a great ice-cream/dessert parlour. There is also a big supermarket in the town to buy everyday essentials from. Other than this, there is nothing nearby to do, we booked a few trips with TUI to get us out an about including 'Zia Sunset,' 'Kos Town by Day,' and also 'Simply Kos.' All were lovely and helped us to see the best of the island.

Overall we had a good holiday, we did feel that there were improvements that could be made for the future, therefore we would not rate this a 4* hotel, but we didn't let this spoil our time.

Just finished a week stay here and i cant complain. Everything was great from start to finish.

Accomodation: We were upgrades to a suit on arrival which was obviously just luck but it was great. There was two of us in the room but it had four beds. The room was spotless and towels were changed everyday. We paid €35 extra to have the room until 6 on the day that we checked out which was very handy as our flight was late. Pools are all clean and plenty of beds this time of year.

Food: The variety of food on offer was huge. The pizza, pasta and chinese sections were my favourite. The local beer was nice and there was plenty of taps in the hotel to help yourself. No complaints about the food at all.

Staff and Entertainment: The hotel staff were very friendly everytime we interacted with them. They were helpful with any queries we had. The entertainment during the day at the pools and on the beach was great. Just good fun for everyone and easy to get involved with all the games. The entertainment staff made an effort to get to know people which was nice.

Location: the shuttle bus to Kardemena town was very handy and taxi was only €9 which we got twice. The bars and restaurants in the town are great. We also spent a day in kos town which was 30 minutes away. Great day out and nice to see the place.

Overall this was a fantatsic stay and I would recommend the hotel and stay again myself.

Stayed here as a family of 4 (2 adults & 2 young teenagers) in the 2nd & 3rd week of August.

We enjoyed our stay and found most of the facilities really good. The grounds are well maintained and are spacious, so it never gave the feeling the place was overcrowded.

With a choice of 3 pools and a beach this allows you to vary where you place yourself each day. We did find ourselves spending more days at the activity pool. Probably one of the quietest activity pool's I've experienced on holiday. The sunbeds are mainly located on one side of the pool area but you still had a feeling of space.

Both the activity & main pools were refilled whilst in our 2nd week and the water was pumped from the sea, so the pools are saltwater rather than freshwater, as described on some travel sites.

We never found it an issue getting a sunbed. A few beds were nabbed early doors but I regularly saw beds available until 9.30ish.

The beach was ok, not amazing, but not bad. There are plenty of beds to choose from. The water is very clear but the seabed is rocky. I didn't find it an issue as many of the rocks are flat and smooth to walk on. Others may find them uncomfortable and people did wear sea shoes. There are sandbags to help you walk in/out.

We really enjoyed our meal times here. We went for dinner at 8.30pm, we found it a lot quieter at this time. Great selection of food but I did particularly enjoy the desserts. The 3 snack bars were good and virtually no queues.

The animation team. Hmmm, not too sure how to describe this bunch. You can't knock their enthusiasm in the shows but 'chaotic' probably best describes them.

We hired a car on a couple of days. We went to Nikos car hire who is only a few hundreds yards up the beach road. Just turn left when you walk from the hotel grounds onto the beach road. Nikos has two offices on this road but the main one is on your left. A Citroen C3 cost 50 euros a day. Petrol is expensive at about £1.60ish. Although we travelled the whole island we only had to put 10 euros of petrol in to refill the tank. We visited Kos Town, Lido Waterpark (decent park, we went on a Friday and it was very quiet). We went up the mountain to the small village of Zia. Lovely views with a good number of tourist shops and restaurants. Also went to Kos Thermal Springs, but the springs were too hot to go in and it's on a rocky beach, you'll probably not spend much time here.

So we enjoyed our time in Kos and we certainly enjoyed our time at this hotel.

Room Tip: We emailed the hotel for a 1st floor room in the 900s block as they have the sun in the morning and they duly obliged.

We went here as a group of 4 mid May,we were a bit sceptical about the food as we had never been all inclusive before. We weren't disappointed there was a selection to cater for all tastes from chinese dishes to italian and more so spoilt for choice, although i always looked out for the lamb kleftiko if available as it was fantastic.Only slight downside was the self service beer on tap in the restaurant as if you were not one of the first in it would run out or be flat so get there early!!.The beer at the pool bar and beach bar were really good though and the guy serving burgers chips etc at the beach bar was brilliant and well worth queuing for and you get a load of chips so best sharing between 2.The beach is a very short walk away through well kept gardens and is shingle so investing in a pair of swim shoes is a must. The sea is very clear and great to swim in and once the cold shock goes its actually quite warm for mid May and that go for the pool also.Rooms basic but very clean and towels and bedding changed everyday.all in all a very good holiday a will go back again.

Rooms basic and outdated. Not even tea / coffee facilities in room just fridge (had to ask for bottle of water). If wanted a drink of tea or coffee through night had to go to machine in reception Lot of ants in room and bed. Reception gave us tin of spray had to use it daily. Food typical of all inclusive - very repetitive but plentiful. Most of staff friendly and helpful but slow especially in pool bar as spent lot of time talking. Reception staff very helpful. Entertainment during day up by top pool and average. Entertainers were friendly & chatty. Overall not bad hotel for families with kids but not for adults on their own
