First of all let's start with the "welcome" done by the hotel team: cold.
We arrived at the hotel around 11.30am and were informed that the room will not be ready before 2pm. Problems: restaurant opens only a 1pm and you can not go out of hotel to the beach because you need your room card to go out and come back.

Then let's talk about the room (photos attached). Our room had a huge cigarette smell, the bed was dirty and the "4 stars hotel room" was really rustic ( the tv was probably older than my mom). The fridge was not on and was smelly, and there were only two places to charge phones or electric things ( one in room, one in bathroom). About bathroom: The hair dryer is out of age and water is coming out of the shower ( prepare the floor before you take your shower ).
We were not lucky to the end and had a view on the parking ( but this time it's only a question of luck).

About the restaurant/food. Cheap meals, repetitive but childs will be happy ! ( Fries every day youpii). And no worries if you miss your favourite meal which was on monday it will be back on wednesday or thursday haha.. For breakfast you have the choice, bacon, eggs, croissant,... pretty good.
The restaurant's floor is really dirty, yesterday a woman screamed that there was a mouse but no proofs haha

About the bar(s): just two bad things, drinks are cheap versions of the alcohols you know. Second thing is that unfortunately some barmen or barmaid have no idea about the ingredients to put inside the cockails ( had a mojito without menthol and with yellow lemon, had a second mojito made with sprite, a caipirinha with yellow lemon,...)

Finally about the extras ( VERY IMPORTANT):

ALL IS NOT INCLUDED.

- You have to pay your drinks after midnight
- Wifi is 7€ per day or 25€ for 7 days but was KO all this week so we were refunded.
- Pools(Billiards) are 2€
- 30min massages are 20€ and are VERY GOOD !! Fish spa is 10€ for 15 min with a foot massage. The guy doing massages is very kind and good.
- The hotel has nothing on the beach, so you have to buy your own things.
- The beach towels are free at the reception but you have to give 10€ just in case and they refund you when you give it back
- No cash distributor in the hotel, you have to walk 10-15 min to the town center and find a ATM distributor near the Faro Jandia Hotel
- Animation team is good but only 3 persons i think, only 2-3 activities a day, there are tennis field, beach volley field and soccer field but unexploited ( only one volley activity this week, then i've not seen anybody on it)



We leave tomorrow morning and are happy to go out of here, we had a very nice trip in Canaries but with activities out of hotel thanks to our tour operator. If we come back in Fuerteventura and especially in Jandia which is a very calm and beautiful place, we will for sure go in another hotel even if we will have to pay more !!

(PS: Special thanks for the only guy from the animation team, speaking all the world's languages and having some good advices for our activities.)

We would like to mention that our chefs prepare a variety of foods on a daily basis. As we cater for a wide range of nationalities, we offer an international menu as well as we offer to our clients a wide range of choice between fresh fish and meats, daily soups and vegetables. We also have themed nights in our restaurants such as a Spanish night.

Normally any defect will be repaired immediately by our technicians. We have immediately informed about this to our technicians. We will inform you that at the end of this year we will renovate and modernise our hotel. We can guarantee you that cleanliness in all our areas is very important to us. We have also protocols and rules to guarantee the hygiene and cleanliness in our hotels.

Extras like Wifi or safe are charges for the guarantee a very good basic rate. We are very sorry that you were not informed about it prior to your stay even though it is explained in all travel catalogues. Additional services like massages are offered in every hotel with additional cost.

Last but not least, we were quite surprised to read your comments on our staff as these do not seem to reflect neither our standards of service nor the usual feedback that we receive both on this portal and internal surveys; nevertheless please accept our sincerest apologies if you experienced any inconsistency in our service.

We are sorry to read that you would not like to return to our hotel. If you change your mind, we will be happy to welcome you here again.

Can't believe all the bad reviews on this hotel, me and my family have just returned from a 7 night all inclusive at sbh jandia, no problems with the room a bit dated yes but adequate, ceiling fans worked and cooled the room enough to sleep, had a great sea view which was superb, the food was fine always found something that was to our tastes and always plenty available, regards meal times yes restaurant was busy but they have long dinner times so plenty of options in that sense, pools were fine, cool when you first get in but if your sunbathing in 30+ degrees heat anythings gonna feel cold,there is a lot of nationality's at the hotel but didnt bother us. would stay again no problem great value for what it cost, if you want 5 star luxury you pay 5 star money

Came here last minute with wife and 2 kids (10&4) ,. Having booked late then read trip advisor was a little apprehensive however all our fears were very soon banished . Having been here 11 days have read the most recent reviews and of course would not seek to disrespect anyone's views or experiences. That said we have ( in fact still are having) had a great time here and would not hesitate to come back. Yes the rooms could do with a refurbish but if I am honest so could my house. Every member of staff we spoke to for any reason could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The food is plentiful and wholesome with plenty of choice . We have never failed to get a sun bed around the pool and really have no complaints at all. Given what we paid my view is excellent value for money and very friendly family based holiday , thank you .

Please do not stay here!!!!

Really in need of some work! Just got back from a 10 day break and like the other reviews everything is really old and in need of sprucing up. On arrival the staff seemed ok not the friendliest but enough English to tell us that we need to wait an hour to check in so put your bags over there and go for lunch. No proper directions had to find our way around. Mainly German guest and the staff seemed to talk German and Spanish but very little English. In our second week myself and my 2 children got stuck in the lift we were stuck for over a hour the hotel maintenance got us out. The next day we were told we didn't get stuck in the lift we broke the lift and we were told we had to pay the bill. The hotel refused to show us the cctv and refused to call the police for us.
I contacted on the beach and then the police who explained I need to get a complaint form from the hotel. So that's what we done! when we handed it back to them they gave us a bill in Spanish. We asked for it in English and explained we can't read Spanish and were told that's not her problem. We had to go to the police ourselves. The hotel hadn't reported any crime.
It was reassuring however at the same time we couldn't believe what the manager was doing. We were very scared as at this point it was like something you watch on tv. We didn't feel safe as we couldn't trust the hotel! I was with the children at all times and after the incident the children didn't feel comfortable to step left without me.
The pools are freezing cold and the alcohol is so watery it's not even worth having a drink, the meat is raw and the selection of food is very repetitive

Our pool is heated to 24ºC throughout the year depending on the outside temperature. Anyway we will check again the temperature.

We are currently still staying at this hotel as we booked to stay for two weeks and still have 6 days left. Since being here we have tried really hard to make the most of our holiday but everyday there seems to be another issue popping up.
We have watched other English families pay extra money to be moved out of the hotel during their stay mainly because of the air conditioning the holiday providers are really misleading with this information if you are in the hotel in the 4* section you have air con but the apartments have ceiling fans, no air con in the restuarant or entertainment area either makes rather uncomfortable evenings.
Last night the restuarant was like a cattle market and could not find a table for 4 so my wife sat at a table for 5 with the children whilst i went up to get some food, a waiter proceeded to tell my wife to move as the table was for 5 not 4 then whistled her to move like she was an animal drawing attention to other diners whilst the whole time a German family of 4 sat at a table for 8 and not an eyelid was batted, the way she was spoken too was disgusting we reported this to management and they could not apologise enough but we no longer desire to eat in the restuarant making paying for all inclusive a waste of money as there is only one dining area in the hotel. First holiday we have ever been on where are children (6 & 8) have asked if they can go home a week into the holiday. I could keep going on but i wont as only a few changes to the place could make it a nice holiday.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. We are very sorry that we didn’t fulfil your expectations and that you and your family could not enjoy your holiday in our SBH Jandia Resort.

We know that our hotel is not a new one and this year we have decide to renovate the complete hotel and at the same time we change the whole furniture. And then also our apartments will have air conditioning. We are sorry for the confusion but at the moment only our double rooms have air conditioning and the apartments have ceiling fans. However, this is also published in all travel catalogues.

We apologize for the inconvenience in the restaurant. However, we can guarantee that our Maitre will do the best to solve such situations.

We are really sorry about your disappointment and we hope to have another chance in the future to amaze you.
