As with Manriques other creations, words alone cannot do them justice. A picture paints a thousand words so it's better to peruse some of the couple of thousand or so photos of this particular 'attraction'. Better still to visit for yourself and take time to wonder at the man's vision and skill. If you're lucky enough to go when it's not too busy, you will be able to appreciate how tranquil and relaxing the place is and hopefully, lose yourself in imagination..

Visiting this museum/house was an eye opener. Take an open mind and you'll quickly appreciate the building and thought along with the planning and engineering that went into it.

I visited this place twice in the same week as it was on 2 tours that we took. I can honestly say that I got as much or more out of the second trip as I did the first.

Take the time to watch the videos that are played on the screens within the house and you'll come away thinking about Cesar Manrique and the life he had and the visions he had.

Fantastic place which is worth visiting, but communication from Town centre could be better due to 1 bus every 1h from ARRECIFE ...so if you miss a bus it is a 45min walk at least, and unfortunately there is NO info on their website on how to get to Foundacion. .Tickets are cheap 8euros per adult though. :)

A little smaller than what I was anticipating, but easy enough to get there by bus without too much in the way of crowds. The experience ends up being more of a gallery than house, but I enjoyed seeing the lava bubbles used as he would have intended. I did two loops to soak in the atmosphere and surroundings and would suggest doing the same! Tickets are cash only btw.

This was a return visit after many years and it was still quite a fascinating place. The walk through the property takes you through many levels, rooms, spaces and caves, both inside and outside. There's a lot to see and it would be great to be there when it's quiet as the constant flow and a tour groups can detract from the atmosphere. I don't remember it being so popular on our first visit there, but it was about 18 years ago.

The architecture, the colours, the shapes, the decoration, the external views - all there to absorb and enjoy. An easy escape from the beach and perfect to combine with a trip to the Mirador del Rio.
