You can only read and listen in Chinese but no English (at list when was there).
But pictures were talking themselves of pain and suffer of people. Also about their unity and human sensation.

Not only about the 1976 earthquake, but largely about future plans for Tangshan city and district, inclluding the port.
Free entry with a passport or Chinese ID.

Like everything in this city the Earthquake Memorial Hall is dusty. But its interessting to see the devastation of the city and the phenomenal rebuild.
Since 2012 there is a Wanda Place Shopping mall right around the corner, with a nice Starbucks and some good shops.
In the evening there are a lot of young couples around the memorial, older people gather to dance and you can play carnival like games in the "park" area.

Free, great air conditioning. Many artificats from the the 1976 earthquake. Nice museum, if you can say a disaster tasteful, at least this museum has done it correctly. Only problem they close the doors between 12-2
