Mine was room no. 108. In the bright day time also, you have to use bulbs.

Bathroom fitting was almost nil. Bathroom mat was not changed since 1 year or so. Refer pic attached. Almirah was full of dust. Table fan faulty and was replaced.

Breakfast taste was good but service was pethatic. I.e. when paratha is there, subji unavailable. When both are available tea is unavailable. When all are available glasses, spoon unavailable. Means overall it's was messy and I felt I am in some langar eating free meals. Overall the room cleanliness is poor. Heritage doesn't means dusty and poorly maintained room. I complaint all this to manager but of no use. It's not worth to shell huge money to book ordinary hotel.

The only USP of the hotel is its location. Lake is visible from the deluxe room we had booked. At a hilly place where you need a cup of coffee and tea handy , they do not have a electric kettle in the room. Every time you need a cup of tea you have to order in their kitchen which was very surprising for us as the cost of the room we booked was more than 5k. The hotel staff are all gloomy without a smile on their face and in a rush to do things and go. Bathrooms are smelly and fungal stains visible on tiles. The wooden floor is very very ill maintained and dirty. Mattress very uncomfortable. In the restaurant when we went for breakfast most of the time there were empty containers and we had to request the staff to fill it which took no less than 15 mins of time . The bed had broken wood and sharp edges which did hurt us twice. There are pictures to see. Dirty very dirty chair and sofa in the room. This hotel certainly needs a renovation. There is a miniature TV in the room. No fridge , very old worn out furniture and the door condition is pathetic. Pictures as proof

The hotel location is really great just infront of Naini Lake & walkable distance from mall road.
Stayed with my wife and 2 year son.
View was great to see lake while raining in city. Staff was supportive and breakfast also delicious with variety.

Overall a great experience and value for money

I, my wife with our 8 months old daughter visited Nainital in the first week of June 2018 and stayed in Hotel Himalaya. The stay was quite comfortable and cosy. Unfortunately we didn't got a lake view room as the hotel was fully occupied but I booked one of their heritage family rooms which was quite spacious at it had two rooms with valley view. I must say the food inside the hotel was awesome and better than many of the renowned places around. The hotel is situated at a steep hill which is difficult to climb hence not suitable for old age people but rest everything was good. Maintenance of the rooms can be improved especially for heritage wing. Hotel staff including restaurant was very polite and helpful. It's a kids friendly hotel with provision of games including Mini golf

It's a budget Hotel steep near Tallital bus stand in Nainital. Very close to the Lake with it's full scenic view in the morning. Easy access to the Mall , the busiest Road in the hillstation. The hotel has a restaurant, conference hall, and terrace. As a unique facility the Hotel has an on-site Mini Golf Course
