Was there with 5 adults and 3 kids. Parking was scarce, what more since we went there after checking-out from our hotel in Batu Feringghi. Before we can get our car parked, we've circled the area few times and saw this restaurant was having a long customer queue outside its compound. However, when we managed to get a parking, the time was past 2 pm and we can easily get a table. The offset was that most dishes were out of stock, even for the rice, we have to wait for it to be cooked, around 15 minutes. We managed to eat fried chicken, kurma kambing, boiled egg, fried fish roe and 2 pieces of fish curry, and no forget the kuah campur. All these with double helping of drinks (we were sitting at the corridor though) for less than RM90, the price was not bad.

Benchmark against Kg Melayu & Deen Maju, it pales in comparison.....
Not much to mention here as it's curry is just palatable, meat ordinary, vegetable middle-of-the-road

Located strategically in Georgetown. The taste of the Nasi Kandar is like no other! Very different compared to some of the other famous Nasi Kandar restaurants in Penang (some commercialized ones too). A must try at Nasi Kandar Merlin is the Fried Chicken (very fresh and crispy), Beef in dark brown gravy (Nasi Kandar classic dish) and Squid Curry. What makes it even delicious is when you eat it with "Nasi Kuah Campur" where you mix all the curries available! An optional dish that you have to try is the Fish Head Curry (around RM40 - Reasonable price!) Prices are relatively lower and the food here is value for money indeed! :)

My family and I visited with the intention to try the fish roe curry but unfortunately the dish isn't prepared daily; nonetheless, the food is scrumptious! The lamb was super tender, the squid was stuffed with boiled eggs which was delicious, and the prawns were fresh. I'd highly recommend this!
