“Always a crowd at the stall”

Few times in afternoon and evening, I passed by the lane where the stall is located, I could see a crowd surrounding the stall.
Once, I went there real early morning and no customers at all. I was in a hurry and forgot to add that I wanted to do takeaway after ordering the cendol. The owner (I assumed) was quite angry and glared at me, started mumbling and doing things forcefully. Even though I apologized for the misunderstanding but the least he could do is accept and move on so I was quite taken aback by his rudeness.
So I will not go there again or even recommend this stall even if others are saying the cendol is delicious. I thought it was average and a tat too sweet but you may say I am bias now.

if you are game for authentic local Penang food, this *IS* one of the "must visit place". Long queues, limited seating. A couple of things you might like to try here. 1. The local chendol (desert drink with red bean, green jelly and palm sugar) 2. Ais Kacang (local ice covered jelly and nuts) 3. Char kueh teow (local fried flat noodles) and 4. Asam Laksa (spice rice noodle with fish paste).

Taste definitely in the top 10 of Penang. Don't miss it!

This chendol used to be my childhood favorite. Now it is still one of the best Chendol, but as good as used to be. But still highly recommended. It is just a normal simple chendol, but somehow, it becomes very special and people line up to buy it.
