Had an excellent takeaway from the Red Lion. Sweet and sour battered prawns with rice and an extra spicy chicken curry and chips. Delivered to the door, generous portions and piping hot with a bag of prawn crackers, and great value at under £20

Just had a home delivery, food arrived on time and hot. We both had fish and chips, lovely. Huge portions, even my husband couldn't eat it all!! Well done for our local pub serving the community, even in these difficult times. Thanks again. Would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area.

This pub serves amazing food, especially the fish pie. Out of this world! Cosy and a great atmosphere, highly recommend this village pub.

Really amazing!! We were asked whitch ploughman's we would like and also if we would like a mixed one?? We went for the mixed Ploughman's.

It arrived, my god what a selection nothing light about this Ploughman's!!! It had everything, ham, salad, a grate lump of Mature Cheddar Same with the Blue cheese. Served with warm freshly baked French stick, bitter and there pots of different relish.

I have eaten many ploughmanse in my time and prared them as a Chef, now retired. However this has to be the best ever. If you want a light meel at The Red Lion, don't order the Mixed Ploughman's.

You have to experience it though.

The Red Lion is a traditional pub with lots of spave, perhaps a little tired but ha what is a traditional pub anyway??

Spend money on a place and refurn and it can and does ruin the charector of a place.

The Red Lion is clean a tidy and I believe it has a 5 star rating as regards to food highgeen is concerned.

If I can add a downside and l do except when things are quiet as they were. I personally have had the experience of the boardem that can be experienced waiting for customers.
It's very anoying to me that Bar Staff are allowed to spend so much time on their mobiles.
At least step out of sight to do it.

On saying that the young Man behind the Bar was welcomeing, although a smile ☺ might help a little. Very attentative and overall generally pleasent.
We all have bad days.
