Came here for a last minute break for some sun. Know the area well, but not stayed here before. We were very pleased with this hotel. Lovely spacious accommodation with a living area as well as a bedroom. All kept very clean, bedding changed after 3 days. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food in the main restaurant was excellent, with plenty of choice, hot and cold dishes. The fish was very good and there were stews and boiled potatoes, not chips every day. We liked the variety of dishes to cater for all nationalities staying in the hotel. The snack bar was handy for children who like to 'graze' throughout the day.
Entertainment was patchy, don't miss the Mamma Mia night on Friday, and the Broadway Show - but focused on modern musicals.

All in all, a great week and would have no hesitation in going again.

Visited here for 1 week 17-24th March 10 minutes from airport which is a bonus . Check in quick no one to help take bags to rooms and confusing room numbers , were given room overlooking sea and pool very big huge bathroom kettle and microwave in room as well . Food was good different choices each day standard AI could of been a bit hotter but was ok. International drinks if you asked for them by brand .
Loads of sun beds around pool wouldn’t want to be here if hotel was full never had a problem getting a sun bed.
Lovely walk into Puerto Del Carmen along pathway took about 40-50mins
Only negative thing bed was very very hard asked for softer mattress and told there weren’t any cleaner put a blanket underneath sheet made no difference

Just returned from a lovely week at Sol Lanzarote, Couldn't fault anything room was spacious and very clean as was hotel. Food was excellent very good choice something for everyone. Entertainment was good much better than other hotels I have been to.Staff were always polite and helpful.Excellant cant wait to return at a later date .
Well done !!!

Room tip: sea and pool views are lovely

Stayed here for 9 nights in March. Having visited Lanzarote several times before we knew the hotel was in a good location for what we wanted and having stayed in a Melia hotel in Djerba before which we loved, were confident we were going to have a great holiday.
On arrival at the hotel we were given room 2521. On arriving at the room we found we were overlooking a building site next door and on opening the door to the balcony were greeted by the sight of 3 cranes, the sound of metal being cut and the constant bleeping of a bulldozer being driven round the site. As we had been notified by Jet2 before we went on holiday that work was going on but that we would be kept well away from this we went back to reception to ask that our room be changed.
We were told by the receptionist that Jet 2 had no authority to tell us that we would not be inconvenienced by the building works and it was only after persistence on our part and the intervention by a Jet 2 representative that the receptionist agreed the room could be changed.
We were told we would have to go back after breakfast the following morning as the hotel was full that day.
We went back as requested the following day to be told that we needed to come back after 12.30 when they had had chance to clean another room. We went back at 12.45 only to be told to find something to do for 15 minutes as the room still was not ready. We were then finally given room 2311 which was lovely. We are by no means fussy and did not expect a sea or pool view just somewhere we could relax in peace and read a book if we wanted.
The food in the hotel was quite repetitive and on the show cooking there was one person trying to cook 2 types of fish and 2 types of meat meaning there was always a long queue if you wanted either of these. There never seemed to be anyone responsible for checking that the food was always available and on several occasions I had to ask a waiter for basic things like lettuce and bacon, the trays of which were completely empty and then he would go and get someone from the kitchen to sort it. This also happened with the desserts.
The outside dining area was also plagued with cats and we saw instances of cats jumping onto the table when people had left bits of food on their plates and the plates had not been cleared away.
The staff seemed pleasant but overworked in the restaurant and I feel more staff are needed to resolve the issues. Also the hotel management should be overseeing things on a daily basis especially at mealtimes to ensure a good service.For the 10 days we were there it was only on the last day that someone, whom I assumed was the manager, decided to do a line up as the restaurant opened but then disappeared after about 5 minutes.
The pool area was lovely and we always managed to find a sunbed. If you want to hire towels just make sure you check the opening times for this service as when we arrived we found that this facility shut at 4pm and did not open again until 10am the following day.
Entertainment was good and the bar service always quick.
All in all this hotel could be great it just needs more staff and better management to ensure everyting is kept to a high standard.

We are glad to know that you enjoyed our services and facilities. Thank you very much for your lovely comments in relation to pool area and our staff. Our team are working very hard everyday to fulfill your needs and make sure that our guests have an enjoyable experience with us.

On the other hand, we sincerely regret any inconvenience caused during your stay.

Regarding location of your room, we are very sorry but our staff always try to accommodate our Guests in the best possible way, so that you feel at home. We would have liked to change your rooms at first moment but the hotel was totally full. I am pleased to know that my colleagues moved you just the next morning.

In relation to your comments about food, we would like to say that we are really sorry for not having met your expectations even when we have a rotating menu with many products including 2 different meats and fishes, vegetables, fresh salads, pastas, pizzas, theme foods like Mexican, Canarian or Asian and a lot of deserts. All this without forgetting the Snacks at the pool with hamburgers, sandwich, chips, ice creams and as well as a great selection of drinks as coffee, soft drinks, slushes, a selection of beer and wines, local brand alcohol, cocktails and so on in all the hotel restaurants and bars. There is always the restaurant Maitre, reviewing and supervising the service. Furthermore, our guests can also find our General Manager and Guest Experience Manager in our buffet. We are sorry if we could not transmit this value to you.

We can assure you that we have taken note of all your comments and we will take the appropriate measures in order to improve our services in the future.

Hoping you will give us another opportunity in the near future to show you our passion for the service and our distinctive quality.

This is our second visit to the sol Lanzarote it hadn't disappointed us, staff excellent, food ok, always something for everyone, best meal breakfast, rooms updated, I cannot find fault,
The animation team are the best I've ever seen, sol Lanzarote certainly caters for children in every way possible, I would rate this hotel as very good 4 star, I've read some bad reviews, my opinion these are not justified, you get what you pay for and more with this hotel, well done to all management and staff
