A good place to people watch and enjoy a big breakfast! Lots of options. I especially loved the various sausages.

Get to Sweety 9 early and watch from this street side cafe and restaurant as the city wakes up. Rather high quality coffee is fresh brewed. The "Nan Breakfast" is sufficient to start the day but not memorable. Prices also higher than earlier pics at 109THB of about $3 USD. The view makes up for any shortcomings and if you need local gifts to take home, there's also a small shop.

Last week while we drove to the place where we had booked for overnight stay in Nan on our working trip, we passed this beautiful antique wooden building on the corner of Mahawong Road. Its sign said "Sweety 9: Local Nan-style breakfast." We decided to try it out in the morning and we were not disappointed. The shop was easy to access because it was on the corner, not far from Nan fresh market. It situated in a 100-year old wooden building with adequate seating to accommodate about 30-35 customers. The dishes they offered were modified fusion food which used local products such as Sai Ua (local Lanna-style sausage) Salad or Fried rice with Nam Prik Noom chili paste. The food we ordered were delicious, the atmosphere was impressive, and the service was very good. It also had small souvenir corner for those who prefer shopping. The shop is worth visiting again and again next time.
