Hotel difficult to access if you have mobility issues as there are high steps from the road, there are more steps from poolside into hotel.
Entrance is straight into breakfast room, tired dated wooden furniture with tatty seat cushions. Breakfast simple buffet style, cold meats, cheese and boiled eggs, there is cereal, fruit, yoghurt, toast, pastries and tea/coffee.
Rooms have been decorated and stylishly furnished but sadly style overtakes substance. Curtains missing hooks and hanging from rail in places, drawers so shallow (about 2") we could not store clothing or underwear in them. Could just about get a pair of pjs in.
Kitchen area simple, hit and miss with utensils.
Bathroom nice but pipes visible under and thick with mildew type mould. Shower head and chrome not cleaned properly and tarnished with timescale. Shower screen leaked in corner as not sealed properly.
Bedding and towels changed everyday but clean bedding left folded at end of bed apart from bottom sheet and pillow cases. Had to make up the bed each evening.
Tv in room was positioned too high and wardrobe door would not open fully due to position of bed.
Hotel is well positioned for village and in a quiet location and staff very friendly and helpful.
Stamos could be so much better if attention was paid to the little details.
No point getting furniture which looks nice but isn't functional.

Nice hotel in a very Greek village with lots of lovely restaurants. Lovely beaches but very steep climb down and back up. Only 18 rooms, all pool facing and with restricted sea view, very well maintained and spotless.

Nice family run hotel close to the beautiful village of Afitos, pool area very nice, staff friendly and helpful. Our room was dated, but clean and comfy. The rooms are being updated, and I saw into one that has been as it was being serviced, and it looked good. Clean sheets and towels regularly during the week.
Our balcony had a view over the roof tops to the sea.

What a lovely little hotel. Everything about it says peace and quiet. It has only got about 16 rooms and they are very functionally furnished, the bathroom in our room was very clean and suited us perfectly.
It is situated just down the street from the crossroads in the village. The village itself has an abundance of eateries and and some stand alone bars all reasonably priced.
The Stamos hotel is a great place to relax and just while away the hours relaxing on a sunbed reading books, something I did to great affect ( 5 books read and a sixth started). Some of the sunbeds get the sun in the morning and some get it in the afternoon.
As we could not be bothered to walk into the village every day for lunch we sometimes ordered a pizza and chicken burger from the small bar and what a treat, the pizza was a 10" size and my wife had a great chicken burger.

The bar whilst small was a great place to finish up after being out for an evening meal, we always finish the evening off by having a drink with the owner and his staff and have a chat about life and how things are in greece.
The bed sheets and towels were changed every two days and the room was always kept clean. All the rooms face the pool area which is also kept clean and always had plenty of sun beds.
You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay here.

Room Tip: All the rooms overlook the pool area, corner rooms are a little bit smaller than the rest.

We chose this hotel because we stayed last year and it was very decent but this year was terrible. By the time we went into our room around 00:00 there was a smell that I can't explain. We said it's just a night, we will open the windows and we will sleep. The blanket had dirt on it so we couldn't use it and forced to use the sheets from the other bed. I don't know what happened between this year..
