We had a lovely time. We upgraded from the Lindo upon arrival, which I had planned on doing. Very happy that we got to experience the Grand for five days..
Pools..especially the tranquil pool were top notch. The room was very luxurious as was the whole complex. Room service for breakfast every morning was a treat....fast service.In room bar was stocked to our liking...thank you Hugo.
Buffet was good...only small glitch was over cooked lobster at lunch. We tried the French and Carribean restaurants and preferred the later.
Shout out to all staff for great service......Sailin and Enzo...Que Onda!!!!!! Leslie...Teddy Bear....Miranda....Ivan...and many more.
We really enjoyed the Celtic Show......very professional.
So koodoos to all for making our stay memorable, relaxing and very enjoyable.

Just returned from a family trip to the IGP. This is a lovely hotel with all areas pristine and very well maintained. Our room was spacious and extremely well looked after by the adorable Apolinar (she left us the cutest note on our anniversary). The restaurants were all excellent with good quality food. We are not buffet people but due to unavailability of restaurants on a couple of occasions we used the buffet restaurant and still experienced good food and service. The entertainment team were excellent and very friendly (Ivan, Eloy, Leslie, Sailin, Oscar, Alejandro and Miroslava - hope I have not missed anyone out). Very good evening entertainment with pleasant pre dinner piano playing in the lobby bar. The Mixology bar was superb - it was so enjoyable watching the staff make fantastic cocktails with such precision (thanks to Luilly and Armando. Also excellent service at the Lobby bar (thanks to Daniel and all his staff). Dinner reservations were a pain but many thanks to Osiris (block 70) who went out of her way to help us with a booking whist Denise (block 70) was most unhelpful regarding the same booking.
Thanks should also go to Herman and Margarito (Italian/Caribbean), Delfino (breakfast/lunch), Abel (Surf and Turf).We did have a few issues regarding golf club closure and dining reservations which I was able to address to Rene prior to leaving - he was most co-operative and helpful. Even though we had some unfortunate issues I would recommend this resort and would like to return in the future (especially to play the golf course)! One last recommendation - please tip the hardworking staff for their excellent service.

We went there 2 times and we are going back. We did try the Grand Bavaro also amazing but so far i prefer this one. We are going in November to the Grand Rose Hall and we can expect the same treatment we have been getting at any Iberostar Grand; 1st class, impeccable service, wine excellent, the food well what more can I say lamb chop for lunch, ribsteak, Cobee beef crabe cold cuts best cheese well the perfect life. thank you for existing Iberostar Grand Collection. BTW we are now members of the Club cause no resort can't be them.

We are just back from 2 weeks at this amazing resort. Where do you start, the food was unbelievable. Rib eye steaks, Lobster, tenderloins, you name it they have it. Beautifully cooked and presented. The drinks are top shelf names too like Grey Goose and Glenmorangie whisky.
The room was beautiful and the air conditioning was perfect, coming from Scotland 22 degrees is like a hot summers day, we got it put to 18. :)
The staff are what really made it special though and I just have to mention them by name. First is the beautiful Leslie (JLo) Teddy (Eloy) Saline, Oscar and Ivan all just really genuine lovely people.
The beach was full of seaweed when we arrived but after a week of cleaning it up it looked fantastic.
The bed was soo comfy, loved it. We have just had the best vacation of our lives and would definitely like to come back one day.

I would like to say that this trip was amazing!
We arrived early and thought we would have to wait, but our room was ready and we were welcomed home being this is our 7-8 time here, we come once a Year and every time just gets better. We checked in and on the beach within 20-30 min. The women who checked us in very nice and welcoming, forgot her name but she had Beautiful green eyes.
Butler was awesome personalized our needs and wants in room and mini bar. Nice chocolates and rose petal tub, champagne as we were both celebrating our birthdays. Guadalupe- was a great maid our room was always clean I left an expensive pair of earring out and they were right where I left them. Great notes left most days from Guadalupe saying have a great day or something uplifting.
Before I start thanking everyone I would like to thank the gentleman at the front desk who took it upon himself to drive me to the clinic as the gentleman at the front hotel were busy and I was in pain( No fault of the hotel) he jumped in a Cart and drove me.(Above and beyond) again at the clinic and back at the beach in 45 min. The grand has everything, if you ever need a Dr the one they have there is great she is so kind and knows what she is doing.
Ivan and Eloy first star friends we met and they were like great friends by the time we left made our trip so fun.
Saline also great fun dancing and talking. Leslie had every age group having so much fun playing bingo. We made it a point to be there to play she was so fun. Great salsa lessens from Leslie she made it so fun.. Itzy the concierge at the ocean front rooms was not even ours but took care of something we needed in matter of a couple min, again above and beyond. If you are worried about the ocean or security, don’t there was no shortage of people and we were in the beach everyday but one, the sea weed was not a problem and you can go in right in front of the resort, something we could not do before.The beach was amazing. Service on the beach was always great.
If you can get Emilio as your server at the lunch or diner buffet be prepared to have every need met. Emilio will recommended food I would not have ordered or tried and every time I loved it. Emilio is a great asset to this resort. If you can’t get Emilio, Defino is just as great, it was a pleasure to be served by both.
Caribbean-was amazing what a great experience the Ribeye in truffle sauce was the best steak I have had and I have been to some great steak restaurants. The tuna tar tar was so good and oysters were great.
We had the opportunity to experience the Gourmet 8 course meal and I just have to say it was the best food experience! I hope the gourmet is successful so when we return we can experience that again. We enjoyed the 20th anniversary show so fun dancing under the stars. Big fan of Rana, and Mr Charles what great talent, that girl can sing! The casino is open and we had fun. New shows were great. Thank you IGP for the great vacation cant wait to return. The Japanize restaurant was the one thing that has gone from good to not so good was one of our favorites now one of our least favorite. No doubt IGP will
