Kipriotis Panorama Hotel & Suites
Ranked #12 of 19 Hotels in Psalidi
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 20 September 2017

This grandiose resort sits magnificently on a hill overlooking Psalidi beach enjoying a splendid panoramic view. Pitched consciously at the organised tourism market, the hotel is well-structured with pools, restaurants and compact yet cosy rooms for guests who prefer lazing outdoors to sleeping in their rooms. Guest are equally families, couples and independents.

The hotel’s interior is open and vast and marble and wood furnishing predominate. Dining is buffet style or in one of three smaller snack-style diners. The top floor Red Sky Bar has the best views in Kos. The fine sandy beach is a 15-minute stroll away.

Lots of eating options: there's the Ariadne Main Resto for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The À la Carte Triton Restaurant for Mediterranean cuisine. The 'Fish and More' fish and chippery, a Greek style Souvlaki & More Eatery plus a beach bar and pool bar.

The hotel pitches itself to the middle ground of luxury accommodation – from families through to business conferences. Its corporatized feel may not appeal to travellers looking for intimacy, but It is, however, a solid high-quality luxury hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms higher up have even more panoramic views

First time visiting Kos and was pleasantly surprised and would recommend the hotel and area to future travelers and can't wait to return. Room was big and very clean, welcome done to the cleaners throughout the hotel as everything as spotless. Had views looking out to Kos town and turkey. Fantastic sunsets. We went all inclusive and the breakfasts and evening meals were plentiful but lunchtime we went to the snack bar in the end as we found food was not very hot in the restaurant as per other reviews. Hired bikes for the day and visited the thermal pool. Hired a car and saw some fantastic views and visited Zia and Old Pily castle etc. Also a thank you to the lifeguard at the pool as he kept the peace when there was a rowdy group one day. Weather was brilliant not a cloud in the sky the whole week we were there.

Room Tip: Had a side room but still had fabulous views

On first arrival the lobby is big, very impressive and well maintained, we stayed on the third floor, the hall carpets throughout the floor are heavily water stained, I suspect this was due to flooding but still looks unsightly. On entering our room (which was huge) the carpet was all ruffled up in places, again I suspect this was due to the same flood maybe, considering the recent earthquakes it looks like it may have triggered the sprinkler system. The room itself is very comfortable as are the beds, no problems except the ruffled carpet. The staff do as expected, but lack charm, the service is also a little lacking in the smile and friendliness department. On entering the dining hall on the first night I was informed that flipflops didn't meet the dress code, but this only seems to apply to the men! A little bit sexist! The greeter on the Resturant entrance was a abrupt and needs to be a little more chilled about her job. Maybe a sign with the dress code to save her having to say? Lots of food on offer, none of it was terrible, just a little bland and mass produced, but enough choice for all tastes and pickiest of eaters, The pool and surroundings are very nice providing plenty of shade and enough sun beds for all. Most of the guests are all inclusive, which makes those of us who don't drink loads or want to eat all day long feel a little like second class citizens, constantly being asked if we are paying cash, this would be avoided if they simply asked "which room please" if you're not wearing the blue arm band. To be honest, it's all Ok, they just need to warn people of the carpet issues and work a little bit more on the customer service, it's more 3 1/2 star certainly not 5 star, mainly because of the customer service. Kos town is a great place to visit and only a short bus ride away, beautiful harbour, lots of history, very friendly people, who want to please. Shops are a bit touristy but no more than expected. Lots of bars to choose from, lots of good food at reasonable prices, gone are the days of cheap holidays in Europe, with the exchange rates, lots of history in and around the town, we have been once before but still keep finding new things to occupy us. We enjoyed the Blues Brother bar, a lively place playing 80's music (I've just given my age away) and nice reasonably priced cocktails, which I am particularly fond of. We also had a fantastic meal at the Agkyra fish restaurant, a family run Resturant, with excellent friendly service.

Currently staying here, been here one week now only 3 days left. The rooms are very outdated and the food very poor. On the plus side the views from sky bar are good but drinks pricy!! And staff rude. The service in the restaurant is terrible half way through meals before being offered a drink most nights. The best thing we did was to stop at taverno Romeo for a drink and never looked back!! Great food great service and never looked back we are only in the hotel for the pool and for our beds now! Also if your
Looking for a beach holiday their Is no sand here pebbled beaches and sea bed! If your Looking for sand look else where in the region of this Island! Weather is great though Shame about this hotel never 5 stars more like 4 if being very generous!! Their is a good bus service to Kos town and quad bikes, car hire, buddy hire and scooters are readily available and I strongly recommend hiring on if staying here!!
