My wife and me had an excellent dinner at the end of july. The sightseen in the evening to lago maggiore is really fantastic and you can have a more than expected space among tables in the terrace. The wine list is quite long and not obvious, including some autoctonous grapes you can appreciate. We chose erbaluce di caluso 2015 white wine correctely priced and refreshed, good companion for main course ( baccala' with potatoes and taggiasca olives, and lumache trifolate with polenta). Cheesecake and red apple with calvados sorbet as desert concluded a very beautiful stay. Owners are very very nice and customer oriented. We will come back, for sure!

We were struggling somewhat to find a good place to eat on this Monday evening. Quite a few restaurants in the area are closed on Mondays, even in high season.

Very happy to have ended up at this place with only space for around 25 people on the covered terrace. More tables inside but those are perhaps less suited for summer.

We started with a portion of house appetizers and smoked duck. The house appetizers were a nice selection of meats, some cheese, grilled vegetables, sardines? & very tasty veal tongue. The duck was very nice also but maybe a bit too much of the same thing and presentation could have been better (perhaps the addition of a little salad would have been nice).

Second course we had spaghetti in a lemon & ginger sauce and ravioli stuffed with ricotta & fresh herbs. Both dishes perfectly cooked "al dente" and very flavourful.

For main we had rabbit and guinea fowl. The fowl was really good but the taste of the rabbit was lost in the overpowering hazelnut sauce. Although the hazelnut sauce was really great, it was a bit of a shame to loose the taste of rabbit.

For desert we had a wonderful home-made elderflower sorbet, a semifredo with mint & chocolate and a delightful fresh dark chocolate cake.

This 4 course meal including a bottle of wine and mineral water cost us 109 euros. In our opinion fantastic value for money.

Had a blissful dinner at sunset overlooking Lago Maggiore. The wine selection is outstanding and our bottle of red paired perfectly with my zucchini crepes. Antipasti were also perfection. Extremely friendly service. Not to be missed.

Great location and very good food. A homely atmosphere and reserved but nice owners who take care of the cooking and the service.
A must go.

I Prefer Christmas at home, but for a series of events, we had to opt for the restaurant. I did not regret. The place is warm, the staff extremely kind, quality cuisine. Experience certainly to be repeated, in other occasions, the Lake Maggiore view is simply beautiful. I felt right at home.
