My intention was to travel to Lake Como. I look all the selections of towns and Argegno seemed coolest place. Especially thats why I chose Villa Beldere, I believe this hotel has the best view in all Lake Como and I really advise to choose lake view.
Hotels design and comfort was good for us , what we were looking for.
I really advise to have dinner at the hotels restaurant.

Room Tip: best view of the lake como

My sister and I stayed a whole week at the Belvedere. You cannot choose a better hotel for the view from your bedroom windows or from the amazing restaurant! Our twin room was a little "spartan" looking, very simple, but had adequate room space for every thing.
The staff was extremely helpful especially Daniele at the reception desk, who was always so helpful, courteous and patient, going out of his way to accommodate us with our excursions. The head manager, Christophe, was also "hands on" and very friendly.
We also liked the fact that the hotel was situated on the lake side and not on the other side of the road, so it was very peaceful. We were very happy that we chose this hotel!

Room Tip: View of the lake!

As the tour leader, this hotel caused me grief as customers complained bitterly about our choice.
The location on the lake side cannot be beaten - the terrace is spectacular and the views beautiful. It is also very close to the ferry port.
HOWEVER: all rooms are very dated in 1970'2 style and slightly damp. There is no aircon and the road noise is very intrusive.
The evening meal was very average for the price and the manager had an air of Basil Fawlty about him.
All in all, not a bad spot for dinner, but avoid overnight stay.

Room Tip: Avoid road side at all costs - impossible to sleep with windows open, impossible to sleep with windo...

Beautiful hotel on Lake Como with private parking, amazing views of the lake, a nice restaurant and great staff. A particular shout to Daniele, who must be born to run the hotel. Never met a nicer, happier and pleasant man when travelling. It was an absolute pleasure throughout our stay.

We stayed here for 6 nights in the upgrade room, separate to the hotel. We found the rooms comfortable and well appointed. The Lake view from our room was perfect. The mini bar stocks a nice selection of drinks. No coffee making facility in the room. Poor choice of English TV channels. Excellent car parking which gets locked at night. Food served in the restaurant was very tasty with a good selection. Breakfast was basic and typically continental. Poor wifi reception and we had cold water one morning. Staff seemed very attentive and hotel is clean and well run. Eduardo was especially attentive and great fun guy ... We would definitely come back.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
It is set among blue waters and colourful mountainsHotel Villa Belvedere stands there as if seeking to dominate the lake, like a prima donna on show in all her beauty at a point were a number of pleasing landscapes meet in a play of colours that change and develop over the course of the day. It is set among blue waters whose movement creates shifts in colour that transform the nature that surrounds them. In its own inimitable style plays host to its guests in what seems like its own microcosm of refined hospitality. The RoomsThe bedrooms are little oases of culture within which guests can breathe in the typical atmosphere associated with literary coffee culture. The 18 bedrooms are a perfect synthesis of those features that go to make up refined elegance. Some of them have been completely renewed while others retain the clear mark of history. These are the ideal nest for lovers of the lake, with those perched above the water enjoying views of a constantly changing landscape with the rising of the sun, the shifting colours and the arrival of night and its discreet sparkling lights. For those who love the mountains, some of the rooms provide fine views of the verdant peaks of Valle d’Intelvi. There are also sophisticated family rooms with triple rooms and rooms with four beds. The RestaurantThere is a whole lot that is new here and a menu that also brings back the fine wine and cuisine of the area. There are some truly superlative dishes created using essentially simple combinations. The menu has both fish and meat for dishes that are innovative without straying outside the traditions of Italian cooking and the excellence of Mediterranean culture. For those who love sunsets and evenings on the shores of the lake there is also a bar that offers both aperitifs and after dinner drinks, with a range of specialist spirits available. In the summer guests can take lunch or dine in the evenings outdoors on the terrace that overlooks the lake with its delightful views. ... more   less
