Highly recommend staying here.
Amazing location and property.
Close to great local restaurants and shops, only a few hindered meters away.
Unforgettable memories.
Very spacious for out family of 8.
Luxurious inside and out. Beautifully manicured gardens.
Francesco the owner/manager was extremely helpful and a true gentlemen. He booked many things for us, even our 5 hour private boat tour around the lake, in a beautiful wooden venician water taxi visiting many villas both public and private.
E.g.George Clooney ,Richard Branson ...
All in all our stay in Argengo at Villa Ruga exceeded our expectations and was defiantly worth the money spent!!
Look forward to coming back soon.

Villa La Ruga is a spectacular villa located perfectly on the waterfront. Our week spent here was exactly what we were looking for. From a day touring the lake by boat with Francesco the owner of Villa La Ruga to a day traveling by panoramic train through the Swiss Alps to St Moritz. The villa was immaculate and Francesco is one of the kindest people we have meet in Italy, he truly enjoys catering to your every need to ensure to have an amazing time at Villa La Ruga. We are looking forward to our return next year!!

We had a fantastic stay at Villa La Ruga. The Villa is conveniently located in Lake Como and walking distance to the quaint little town of Argegno. Our host Franchesco made the stay perfect. He was very accommodating and went the extra mile in arranging and helping with activities and special requests. The Villa is beautiful. We could have stayed on the front patio day and night! A special place that I would certainly return to over and over again.

Myself and five friends had the time of our lives at Villa La Ruga in Argegno, Lake Como.
The Villa itself was comfy and spacious in the most perfect setting on the water.
In addition the Villa host, Francesco, provided superb service and assisted us with many details including food supplies, boating and even pizza delivery.
I highly, highly recommend this Villa and the superb Mr. Francesco.

I wanted something special to celebrate my 50th birthday with my friends and I certainly wasn't disappointed. The villa is beautiful, it is quirky, unique and has the most stunning location on the lake. The views are amazing and they are even better than Clooneys old shack up the road and that is saying something! The surrounding towns are beautiful and restaurants and bars are in abundance serving very good quality food. We hired a beautiful boat and had a few hours cruising on the lake and that was bliss. Francesco is a great host, he is very supportive and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. He helped prepare before my trip and was on hand to advise during our stay. He even managed a surprise birthday cake and stocked the fridge with champagne. I have travelled extensively and I can honestly say that the Villa and the location is unrivalled. I would recommend this for a group of friends or family, we had the most fantastic time in a beautiful, charming place!
