We visited the beach bar to watch the sunset. The bar only served minimal cocktails and Bintang beer. There was no options besides Bintang radlers and a large Bintang which was disappointing. They also only had large bottles of water. There isn’t much atmosphere here either and no table service. The upside is that we got gorgeous photos on the swing and of the sunset over the beach. However, it was difficult to get these photos without many tourists in the picture or local people on horses trying to get you to pay for a ride in the water. If we did this again, I would personally have stopped at one of the more fun looking bars on the way rather than this one.

We have spent 2 nights at Gili T and we have choose stay at Ombak Sunset Hotel. The hotel was totally closed and we have got the 1 Bedroom Villa with Pool. The room was spacious the things that we love would be the bathroom really nice.

The hotel swimming pool was really good, overlooking to the ocean and we an see sunset by the pool. The service and staff was superb. Even the hotel located quite far from the Gili T Central but really suitable who needs hassle from the crowded and feel peacefulnes.

Rode the bike around to watch the sunset here.
Only serve cocktails and beers and is hard to get service. Drinks were warm and uninviting.
Expected more and would have preferred to stop at one of the many other sunset options.

I am leaving this hotel with conflicting thoughts and im going to try and do it justice.
We all know that the earthquake in 2019 destroyed the local economy aswell as kill many people! This was one of the reasons we decided to visit, one to see something different in bali and aslo to help the local economy by putting some money in and helping promote the island.

So i would say put your filter glasses on and ignore the rebuilding and cleaning up works.
Some resorts are totally levelled and will not return for some time .
Just focus on the operating venues and they are all trying so hard to stay afloat on minimum resources and are doing a great job.
The ombak sunset is one of these places as it is situated on the far side of the island, “the sunset side” of course it is only a 15 minute bike ride through the centre of the island or a 20 minute ride around the coast road both easy flat riding with plenty of photo stops along each route.
The staff are all wonderful and willing to help out with any request, we got a free room upgrade to beautiful villas. And they were second to none.
Breakfast was provided and once again they really over achieved far too much food delivered to our villas each morning. Its hard to complain but i just dont like waste when i know everyone is doing it tough. So once again 5 stars for effort. If you are one for keeping it real then you will love this hotel, please help support gili and its economy as it is a beautiful place in the world.

Loved this hotel! My boyfriend and I came here as part of our trip to Indonesia. Gili Trawangan is a beautiful island and a must see.
This hotel offers a huge pool with two smaller ones and a poolside bar which you can swim up to and sit at.
Our room was spacious and clean with a lovely balcony offering lovely views of the island.
You can also hire bikes from here and this is a must! Get up early and cycle round the island before it gets super busy - will take just over 20mins and offers lovely views.
If you come out the front of the hotel and across the road there is the beach with the famous swings and soft sand (until you get into the sea it's quite corally so a bit sharp on the feet!)
This hotel while a good 10/15mins horse and cart ride away from the main strip is worth staying at - you are away from the hustle and bustle of the party scene so it is quiet and a great place to relax.
Staff were friendly and attentive. I would 100% recommend and will definitely go back!

Warmest greeting from Hotel Ombak Sunset...paradise just ahead!!

We are happy that you enjoyed your stay with us.

Many of our guests do stay to enjoy the Datu Swing and witness the stunning sunset, which we are lucky to have at the front of our property. There is truly something magical about watching the sun descend behind Mount Agung across the Bali Strait

Thank you for your lovely comment and we look forward to welcoming your again in the near future.
