We have just returned home after our wonderful honeymoon here.

This hotel gave us everything we were hoping for and probably more.

It's beautifully designed with striking views across several levels of water. The main pool is huge with outdoor spa pools and water features. The Emerald restaurant is open sided and perfectly lit for Breakfast and Dinner and both are brilliantly done! There's a well stocked bar and great local wines available too. The Petra Syrah is a local organic wine and we both really enjoyed it.

The restaurant serves a fantastic buffet for both meals with crepes and omelettes cooked to order in the morning and several evening dishes the same. There are themes each evening with seafood, great local traditional dishes and others featuring. The pastry chef is fantastic and the morning and pudding pastries are great. All the staff are exceptionally polite, extremely professional and make the effort to get to know you. They are genuinely nice people too.

We stayed in one of the Diamond Suites and could not have been much happier.

The suite has a generous living space with a large sofa that converts to a bed, if needed. (we didn't open it out), Nespresso coffee machine with capsules refilled every day, a fridge, air conditioning and sliding glass door to the private pool. The bathroom is spacious with a three setting jet / rain shower, double hand basins with lots of room for two. The bathroom is stocked daily with great quality Malin & Goetz shampoo, shower gel and moisturiser.

We had the standard King Size bed, rather than the round one also offered, and it was really comfortable with a view over our pool and out to sea. The bedroom has its own air conditioning unit and we slept comfortably every night. The maids do a thorough job and the room always feels fresh and clean. Every attention to detail is given by all the housekeeping team.

There are only two things I would have changed. The first was that the sacrifice for having a sea view room is that you are also next to a long straight main road into Kos Town. Sometimes the traffic is heavy with the occasional motor bike doing approximately 90-100Kmh. It wasn't often that it really intruded and we decided it was a worthwhile niggle when the rest of the suite was so good. The only other thing was that the temperature of the private pool was really quite cold, so it wasn't great for just bobbing about in. It's a first world problem but warmer water would have been more relaxing.

The sea was crystal clear and warm and great to bob about in the waves. The beach isn't golden pure sand, as others have mentioned, but it's certainly not shale either. Walking barefoot along the beach is beautiful and we often did just that at around sunset. The waiting staff are happy to bring drinks on request - such a luxury.

We booked a buggy for the day, through the hotel. It was well worth it and you can visit wonderful beaches, great restaurants and watch the sunset from the mountain. Our day of adventure was great fun. The local bus to Kos Town stops outside the hotel and, for 2 Euros each way for a 4Km trip, it's well worth visiting for Old Town culture, great fish and meat restaurants, lively bars, boat trips and shopping.

We've had a wonderful honeymoon!

Room Tip: The Diamond Suites are worth the expense

We have stayed here for two weeks in September 2017 and we're absolutely delighted with every aspect of the stay. The room, the view, the staff, the food, the facilities were all exceptional. The hotel is around 4km from Kos and is ideal for a holiday away from it all ... but also easy enough to get to Kos for a change of scenery. We stayed B&B and the food was fantastic. The private beach is a two minute stroll and pool areas are superb. We enjoyed our stay so much we've already booked to return in 2018. Thanks to all the staff who were very helpful and polite and always ready to assist. This helped to make our stay so memorable as did the quality and location of the hotel itself. Can't wait till we go back to beautiful Kos next year. Hotel 5 stars, Kos 5 stars and the locals are exceptionally welcoming and friendly 5 stars.

When we arrived late evening there was no porter to help with our luggage so began to wonder where we had arrived...No worries though as we approached the reception desk to check in we were greeted with a very warm welcome... Check in was very quick and a complimentary drink well received...We had booked a swim up room and wasn't disappointed..The room was beautiful and the round bed huge.. Spotlessly clean and to a high standard...Check the Robes if you are lucky enough to visit this hotel definitely a talking point...There were plenty of hangers in the wardrobe but very little draw space.... Buffet breakfast was very good.. Plenty to choose from eggs cooked to order exactly as requested... Buffet dinner was excellent a different theme each evening.. Restaurant staff were brilliant nothing to much trouble..We were certainly well looked after by Daniel and Maria who were friendly and efficient..Must say though the Restaurant manager appeared to not be so friendly...The biggest complaint for me which is hard to find in this hotel is the "strict" dress code for the dining room in the evening being long trousers and no flip flops for men...This in my opinion needs some attention after all this is a 5 star hotel and quite scruffy jeans and trainers were worn by some male visitors..where on the whole most people made an effort to look nice....The service at this hotel is brilliant...The complimentary watermelon around the pool and on the beach was so nice...Plenty of sunbeds available so need to get up at the crack of dawn to get one..Pools are beautiful and clean ..grounds are kept well too....Bus stops outside the hotel making a trip into Kos town easy and was worth doing....We would certainly recommend this hotel and will definitely return...Well Done to all the staff at this amazing hotel ....

We booked an adult only hotel for the first time as our grown up children (21+25) allowed us to go on holiday alone.

We couldn't have chosen a better resort. On arrival we were greeted by staff with a welcome drink and then were booked in and directed to our room. But what a room. Open the patio doors, your own sun loungers, 1 meter away from the pool, with sun shine from 10 till 6pm.

Breakfast was all you could ever want and more. Freshly cooked eggs & pancakes with a huge variety of topping and additions. The hot and cold food service was first class, with prompt attention from all the staff, assisting with every requirement. Every aspect of this hotel has been thought through to help in your well being for a great holiday. The only down side, being you had to either wait for a bus: 1.5 euro pp, for the 15 min ride into Kos Town, or reception will book a taxi for you for 8-9 euros . Btw if you pre buy bus tickets from the main bus terminus in Kos town they are at a reduced cost. Maybe being away from noise and through traffic was a blessing. By reducing the ambient noise, you can appreciate the sounds of the sea crashing on the beach just across from the hotel.

Make sure you get a car for a few days to travel around. Don't miss the thermal springs, but make sure you go after 4 pm as it gets too hot. Not a great spectacle, as with a bit of local investment would make it more pleasing to all the tourist, but still worth a visit. Kardamena is a very lively resort with beach front restaurants and bars but Paradise Beach is a must with golden sand and a great beach.

Make sure you pay a visit to the Village of Zia, Olympia 2 restaurant for the best Sunset views. Go early to park, as certain time of the year this can be an issue.

Have a great time all the same.
