This is the third Club Med my family and I have visited and is by far and away the most beautiful with the friendliest staff. The grounds and beach are stunning, and nothing is too much for the staff. My kids preferred the clubs here to those in Europe as English is the prime language. Whilst they were in the club, we enjoyed an adult only experience in the Zen pool. What a location, sat in the pool with a glass overlooking the surf on the nearby beach. The over 18 sign was often ignored by selfish parents, but they were asked to leave within a reasonable time on occasions. The main pool is still a good spot to spend the day, and thankfully the "Butlins moment" before lunch is quite short. Food was up to usual Club Med standard, though one downside is that wine bottles are not left on the table, presumably due to the exorbitant cost in Malaysia. We had a Balinese massage one morning, and it has to be the best I have ever had.
The downside is the rooms. This is not a cheap Club Med, but the rooms are a disgrace. They are very tired and there is no balcony where one can sit out in the evening. The air conditioning is also very noisy. On the plus side, they do have a fridge in the room. We had interconnecting club rooms, which give you a reasonable space, but would have preferred and interconnecting suite and club room. The resort only has one of this combination, probably due to the lack of suites. We were put in block N, which is a good trek from the communal areas.
All in all we were sad to leave.
