We booked this hotel while in Kapfenberg for a wedding (after it was suggested to us by the groom). The hotel was 'just ok' - the room was large, though a bit empty, the bathroom was really modern and bright (definitely a plus) and breakfast was very varied (it was continental, but with hot items available upon request).
Nevertheless I could not overcome a certain feeling of abandonment. There were probably very few guests staying there because of the off-season period (we were told that the hotel works mainly with the clients of the industries in the area), but the place felt lonely rather than exclusive. We were particularly surprised to find out that the receptionist only worked a few hours in the mornings and that for the rest of the day the place was unmanned. This did not cause us any problems (we were sent a code for the door via email prior to arrival), but we couldn't help thinking what would have happened if our bedroom key hadn't worked at 2 am, as we came back from the party...
